It's a dinky little flat-pack table with plastic drawer slides and a metal handle so thin you can easily bend it. And for that, it's solid and well-designed. It went together easily; the only hiccup I had was with the predrilled holes for the drawer handle. I bent the handle and then it worked. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver for the screws and cam dowels, and a standard screwdriver with a wide head and a short shank for the cam lock nuts.

Love, love love! This is a solid piece of furniture. It is easy to put together, very nice looking and fits in narrow spaces. It has 2 lower shelves and a drawer. The top covers the drawer and then opens with hinges to a hidden compartment on the back part. It is very versatile. I have a small bedroom and this fit very nicely next to my small recliner chair. I have a place for snacks and a drink that also shelves magazines and books and has a place for pens and note pads. I certainly don't worry about this being knocked over by dogs or grandchildren...it's really that stable!

The design and construction was excellent, once you figured out from the wordless instructions how to assemble the kit.

You will need a power drill to put together. It took my friend and me almost 2 hours. I love this beautiful nightstand! The height matches my bed perfectly. Not too high or too low. I also want to say that it has a beautiful dark wood color and great quality, as you can see from the pics.The only thing I noticed is that you may want to find a good size storage basket in order to better use the middle space. Also, the corn of the desk is very sharp. I have a little one at home, so I bought some corn sponge to put on it.Overall, we love it!!

I had two to assemble. 1st one took 2.5 hrs, 2nd one took about 1.5 hrs to complete. Just be patient and take your time. Do not over tighten or force any of the parts. Pay attention to the instructions to see where the wood pegs go. I show a simple fix to color the chrome screw heads to match the handles.

I believe the people who wrote reviews about how difficult this was to assemble must have never put furniture together in the past or don't own a screwdriver drill and a short stubby screwdriver. Those are the only tools needed. It took me about two and a half hours to assemble the table but Jeopardy was on in between and I did make one mistake. Otherwise, I sat in my recliner and spread it out on the floor in front of me. Beautiful little table and just the right size for the area.

Once assembled, it is sturdy and except for multiple scratches from unpackaging and assembly, nice looking. Assembly took over two hours because instructions were just drawings, no details real instructions in writing. Several components were not labeled, nothing was marked as left or right, and in a couple of cases predrilled connection holes were were slightly off. As a result, I had to dissemble and reassemble several times times, resulting in scratches in the extremely thin finish. Wish I could return, but I'm not going to dissemble (again) and try to repack in the small original shipping box (as seller instructed). I guess I have to use it temporarily until I can replace it with something of better quality. At this price point, I was surprised by the lack of customer assembly consideration. Oh, and by the way, it is not "rustic" as described.

Could definitely use better assembly instructions that would save us a lot of time in building this item. Not fine furniture but certainly an acceptable side table for a small space. If you have limited space specifically the width of the table that will fit this is a perfectly acceptable item.
