Review: Just the thing for differential side bearings and more - I was a little concerned that this puller wouldn't be up to the task of pulling differential side bearings. They can be a real bear to get off. The negative reviews had me worried. Nothing to worry about. This puller was more than up to the task. Absolutely no drama...exactly the way I like it! No damage to the bearings either. It bent the shims up a bit, but that's to be expected, The puller's build quality is excellent. Nice satin finish (maybe chrome?). No sharp edges. Push screw is nicely machined. I chose the OTC 4534 over the OTC 4520 because I figured the flexibility was worth a few bucks more. The mid-sized arms of this kit appears to be identical to the OTC 4520. I did have to machine my own step adapter plate, but that took 10-minutes on the lathe and some scrap metal from the bin. If your differential has recesses cut into the case for a puller, this is the way to go. Highly recommended!

**Q: What it the thickness of the jaw tip.**
A: I have used mine several times and the thickness of the jaw tip is normal size of other pullers.

**Q: What are the cap screws for ? Two different sizes ?**
A: you use them to pull stering whels

**Q: the width of the claw?**
A: there are 3 claws...all are different. Long one is 1/2 in wide at the tip, medium is 3/8 at the tip, short is 9/16 at the tip. Body of the long and medium is wider than the tip. Body of the short claw is narrower than the tip

**Q: Can this work for 97 Toyota Tercel crankshaft sprocket gear?**
A: I have never tried it on a Toyota, it may work just not sure

I have Snap On at work, (diesel repair shop) but they are pricey ($695 for set CJ2002). I bought this OTC set for at home. They work good, but just don't have that good feel like the older OTC tools we have at work do. This set is made in Taiwan. I just got the set, and have used it already, and it works good. I just wish it had the superior feel and was marked like the OTC tools of old. There are no markings on the set at all, not even on the crossbars, which used to be marked OTC and have a part number on them.
