747-400 Pilot Handbook (B/W)

The book has little information on aircraft systems. If you need that for your oral, this is the wrong book.But, if you want to know who to run the FMS and the airplane, this is a great book. Well-written. Easy to understand and follow.At $49.95, it's a bit pricey. But, I suppose that's to be expected for a book with a limited market.

Lots of material but a little too casual in presentation given the need for professional cockpit procedures to really pass the check.

Mike Ray is a very experienced retired airline captain who has a wonderful ability to present a very technical subject in a highly engaging and readily understood style. Highly recommended.

Yes the book is well written, very humorous in places and has all the information you would expect to have for this type of aircraft.I feel I'm ready for the check ride

Interesting to see how to crank up a Boeing 747-400. Loved to see how involved it is to get that monster going.
