XS Ameribag Healthy Back Sling or Crossbody Bag
Ordered the wrong color so sending back but have the right color coming. I LOVE these bags! Have had a gray one for 5 yrs & it is still in tip top shape just wanted a change so I got one to match my favorite coat & shoes. Turns out taupe is the perfect color. 🤪 Can’t wait until it gets here! Don’t be fooled by being XS! This bags holds tons! All the pockets both inside & out are perfect for organizing your things. I still have plenty of room for more stuff w/just the normal purse items. LOVE the kinda secret pocket on the inside. My 380 fits perfect in it. Could hold even more but I only use it for my g*n. Don’t want to scratch it. I bought my 1st one due to back pain issues & it actually does help. The bag clings to the shape of your spine & body & feels weightless. No pulling down & bothering your neck or thoracic areas of the spine. Feeling weightless helps w/lower back pain as well. I paid $100 for my gray one five years ago in a shoe store so the price is great as well. The pocket on the end that is suppose to hold a water bottle is perfect for your cell phone. I can’t say enough about this wonderful bag! There’s so many different sizes you can buy too. I’m 5’6” & weigh 130lbs & the XS is PERFECT for me. Just wanted to throw that in in case you’re trying to figure out what size you need. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BAG to anyone with back pain issues & for those who don’t as well. The one I have now I’ve washed over & over & it doesn’t change the bag at all. I don’t however put it in the dryer. Was considering buying the microfiber one but there are no care instructions so that leads me to believe it probably shouldn’t be washed in a machine. I hope this helps in making your decision to buy this bag. You won’t regret it! One day I’ll probably invest in a leather one. Maybe when the economy gets better. Right now I also need to eat!!

Excellent small bag
I've been carrying medium-sized Ameribags in canvas and suede for many years to ergonomically balance weight for spinal fractures and mobility issues. After retiring last year, I don't need to carry as much as I did when I was away from home 12-15 hours a day. It's a bit of a challenge to fit wallet, Kindle, meds, sunglasses, note pads and only 2 slots for pens in the smaller bag. However, for quick trips to the grocery or lunch, I'm enjoying less weight and bulk with this small bag. I'll keep using the medium Ameribag for day-long or out-of-town trips. These bags are very durable and easily brush clean, too.

My Mom loves it!
This was to replace similar one made of a different fabric by this brand that lasted for years. My mom loves how these purses keep things organized. This newer model has a cell phone pocket with a red zipper tab to make it easy to see. My only suggestion is that they call this bag a size medium or not extra small. I exchanged this bag twice trying to get an extra small bag. I even ordered bagglett which is very tiny. There is no in between. I finally just gave it to her and hoped she would not mind. She didn’t and will continue using it.

really makes a heavy load feel lighter
This is my fifth Ameribag. Still have #1-3 that I rotated for color variation. Used #4 for many years, nonstop, because I loved the red color. The zipper finally failed completely, after multiple repairs. Thought I could just switch to the purple, but it had velcro not magnetic closures, and it wasn't red. Like that I can throw the distressed nylon in the washer as needed. Extra small is the perfect size and holds everything a normal to large purse would while feeling less heavy. When I purchased my first Ameribag, I unloaded my purse into the Ameribag in the store, to discover the same items just didn't feel as heavy. Like the new sideways interior pocket. Only improvement I'd like to see is a retro move on the strap - back to the metal slides rather than the plastic ones now used. The plastic slides that adjust the strap that are now used do break over time and harsh use and have to be replaced.

Ordered Black bag - Received the HBB version - UPDATE!!! I REMOVED THE PADDING!
I, too, prefer the non padded version BUT I do like this size. Everything I had in the next size up version, fits in this size, but without any wiggle room. Not sure I could add a sweater, water bottle, and my own Ziploc of popcorn for the movies (shhhhh) BUT this size looks a bit more 'stylish'. The padded pocket is big enough for my Kindle, and would probably hold an iPad mini. My 2nd gen iPad will NOT fit in the padded pocket BUT if I just stuff it into the main part of the purse, it WILL fit. You could also add a small wallet or things that were also not too bulky (ie flat-ish). The zipper just closes . . but it's nice to know I COULD get it in there if I had to. Ameribag should consider making the padded pocket with a velcro closure so it could be removed. I suppose I could possibly rip it out and use duct tape but . . . it doesn't bother me that much.UPDATE! The padded areas finally got to me . . so I took out the padding at both places. It's not attached at all. Make slits (around 2 inches long), stick your fingers in an curl the padding (styrofoam) around your fingers and pull it out. Patch the slits with Bondex Outdoor Restore. I wanted to fold it into my carry on bag and now I can! Also gives me a bit more room . . .My iPhone 4s fits inside the larger of the two 'magnetic' pockets . . but with only a small protective case. If you have a mega Otterbox, it might be a stretch. Because there are two pockets instead of the one, these pockets tend to only hold flatter objects. The smaller pocket will hold two packs of TicTacs. It's new and I suspect the fabric will loosen up a bit with use. These bags are great for travel . . I feel like I have a good handle on it. I was with a girl in Fiji who had her purse snatched right after making an ATM withdrawal. WAY too easy of a target, purses. On the strap, there IS a different kind of fabric towards the top that seems to be less slippery than the Nylon the bag is made out of. Someone previously mentioned that the non slip material was missing - it's there, just a different fabric than before.A 16 oz plastic bottle of water will fit in the outside 'spine' pocket, but because this bag is smaller, only half the bottle is in the pocket. Secure enough for a walk around New York but might fall out if you were running for a train.I backpacked around the globe well into my 40's and had a day pack that had my purse in it. Finally grew up and graduated to an Ameribag. The day pack for adults!
