QVS VPG-HL HDMI Video Pattern Generator

I assumed this would be a useful device for brekout PJs, computer monitors, and other video displays. Unfortunately, I overlooked the built-in HDCP. Without a means to turn HDCP off, it's pretty useless for me. Would be nice if you could change the refresh rate too. The product works, just didn't do what I thought it did.

Very handy HDMI A/V Tester.I'm often involved in setting up large screen projectors and/or monitors atconventions and trade shows, and when something doesn't work, this boxsaves time tracking down problems. I didn't realize when I bought it that italso sends an audio test down down the HDMI line. That's an added 'plus',even though most of the time the installations I'm involved with either don'thave audio, or the audio is sent to separately to room amp or speakers.But having the audio function had come in handy on several occasions.I'm very happy with this purchase.

we install flat panels and sometimes over cat5-6 with converters...you need this....set it at 480p to start (always) then scale up to 720 and beyond, it sets the visual tone and test results right awaynow you know what to expect. saved me hours of guessing and wondering.installed 15 TV's over existing cat5 with converters in 2 hours in a active restaurant.tested and proven.you need this..

Didn't look like much in the picture but had 1 good review. Got it...Hooked it up...Works great. Just hope it continues in the future...

This generator works great and would purchase again.
