Orginal Brother Parts
This was a replacement for a new Brothers waste toner unit that I purchased from an online discount supplier. After almost damaging this wonderful Brothers printer with their toner cartridges, drum units and waste toner unit (supposedly new parts) and have my printer fail from their inferior quality, it was great to get all original parts and have the printer up and running.

New Waste Toner Box Not Recognized by Printer
I had the same problem as Tony M. I inserted the Waste Toner Box and the printer continued to tell me, "Replace WT Box." The printer would not print then. So the printer must not have recognized the new Waste Toner Box. I turned the printer off and on and then I took the Waste Toner Box out and reinserted it, but neither worked. I returned it to Amazon for a refund.

Fixed the error!
This fixed the error message on the printer. Easy to install. Had to update the firmware which wasn’t too bad to figure out. Overall was very happy to get printer working again.

Update Brother support has been great apparently there may be an issue with my printer throwing a bad error and nothing wrong with my waste box. They are sending me a part at no charge.OriginalI bought when my printer gave me a WT Box error. At the time I had no clue what that meant. But I found the part on amazon and ordered it. I don't print much so the old one lasted a while. But when I went to install the new one which is simple, I still have the error.Since it's been a while since I purchased it I can't even return it.
