Works great! Yes, it's in a Ground Cinnamon container!
The unit arrived well packaged. It works as designed. Quite amazed at the power it can handle given the size of the unit, and very little heat is produced (e.g. with an input from a 20V PSU, and a 3V / 2A output to power an electric drill motor, the heatsink barely gets warm).Even came with red & black banana sockets, which I hadn't expected, so a bonus! Using it with an old HP 19V / 3.5A laptop power supply, for various benchtop experiments, and electronics troubleshooting and maintenance.Installed it for now in a small food container (because it was handy!), until I get a suitable plastic case for it.The only downside is that you have to turn the knob A LOT to adjust the voltage (since the adjustments are very fine), but still terrific value given the low cost.

Great middle-tier versatile regulator
I'd say this is right in between the DROK & Icstation models that share the same form-factor, while also being waaay cheaper than both! I already own(ed) the DROK model & can vouch that it's definitely top of the pack in features & build-quality, but since I go through voltage regulators like I hate the poor things; it died all-too-young at my hands like many other top-tier power manipulators... Having embraced the fact that I'm basically the Angel of Death for electronic gadgets, I stick to what the best deal is exclusively within the "Middle of the Road" or cheaper level of things, since it's always in my best interest to buy at least *two* of things like this. Anyway: This ones a keeper though! I took note of the fact that the front display housing is on the flimsy side & it inspired me to put some elbow grease into "ruggedizing" one of these, which I did after connecting M & F pigtailed barrel jacks & laid them flush to the housing and then "potted" the whole thing with a big slathering of The Right Stuff gasket maker & E6000 while keeping the heat sink exposed, yet filled in water-tight on all sides. Now this thing accompanies me on camping trips & the like and can do the job of practically any charger or other unnecessary dc power cord thing when accompanied by a stout 3s6p li-ion brick I assembled that can last for days on end. Good stuff!

Inexpensive very good power supply
It works great. Used it with a computer power supply. Great deal n

Works as advertised, overheats easily
I read in the product description that if you wanted more than 35W additional cooling was required. I am using this in a non-temperature controlled environment so I didn't know if I would get 35W or not. I am disappointed that in an ambient environment of about 75 degrees Fahrenheit, with about 25W output, this goes into overtemp protection mode in about 15 minutes. It should be easy for me to boost the cooling capacity but I haven't had the time to do it yet. I give it 4 start for doing what it is technically supposed to at this price point. It's borderline 3 stars due to not being able to do it for very long.

Voltage regulation. Cheap.
They are good units for matching the voltage of projects

Off isn't Off
As the other comments/reviews state, it works very well. Before I bought it, I checked that it has an on/off button, and it says it does. But off is not off, the screen is still lit up, so it's still pulling electricity even when it's off. Not good. I need to install a switch now to actually turn it off.

Great diy variable PSU
This thing is great! I use it almost every day doing electronic repair. Though, it did not come with banana jacks as another comment suggested.I'm powering it with a 19v laptop charger in a plastic project box. Though, it can operate on anything between 5v-30v.A comment suggested that the voltage changes very slowly, but you can use the buttons to select which digit to change. so I assure you that's no issue!
