Update:This lamp perfectly meets my needs, both in functionality and aesthetics.So I am upgrading my star rating to reflect that.Previous review, and I stand by it:It is beautiful and looks as advertised. And having gone through all the work, vs the pain of unmounting and repackaging for returns, I am just going to keep it.It comes with instructions (better instructions below!) that are unintelligible, disorganized, incomplete, and inaccurate.It comes with lots of hardware, good, because I needed the extras after the whole thing fell down and scattered screws all over my place.The large ring is slightly droopy. Not horrible, but I expect better for the price. (Update: I am going to fix this with a bit of fishing line and a clear pushpin.)I also expect batteries for the remote!So, let's talk installation. Instead of sharing my 3-hour ordeal, here is what I would have liked to know.* You need a 14 mm wrench for the nuts that attach the rings.* You need a Philips screwdriver* ... and probably a ladder.* You need endurance in your arms and shoulders, because you'll be fiddling overhead for a loooong time.* Unpack everything. The plastic wrap is a strip wound around, so cut it in one place and then just unwind.* Separate/unplug the adapter from the lamp. Separate the mounting plate as well.* Install the mounting plate using the screws from the cover.* Assemble the lamp pieces. Yes, you have to attach the rings, and then balance all that while inserting tiny screws overhead.* Make sure power is off. Connect the adapter to the ceiling wires. Make sure it doesn't come off when it dangles.* Take lamp assembly. Connect the plugs. There are no instructions as to which goes with which. So, I randommed. .* Maneuver into place so that holes in mount plate match up with holes in base. Cables fit pretty easily into the base.* Use short nails or thin screws to temporarily attach base. This makes life a lot easier!* One by one, fiddle in the bolts to attach the base. Don't fall off the ladder! If you lose a bolt, the provided screws will work as a backup.OK, that sounds a lot less painful than it actually is. Good luck!(I haven't tried the remote yet, but it comes with no batteries.)

Instruction for the remote control is a bit confusing. Other then that loved the light!

Works as described. Had a slight remote issue, emailed the seller. Received response with one minutes .. issue resolved. Thanks for great customer service.

Unfortunately I bought 2 for my house in South America. When we installed them the warm light in the big ring of one lamp and in the small ring of the other light did not light up completely. Half of the warm light did not turn on. The rings only light up completely with the whitest light on. I can't exchange them because we are too far away. They are beautiful though.
