Update: tried one out just to be sure, and can confirm it will keep you warm! Took some pictures of my hubby with it wrapped around and then just holding it to give an idea of how big the mylar blankets are, he is 6'2 for reference.These are a great item to have, very versatile and useful! They are lightweight small and very portable. I got these to put in our camping/hiking/emergency bags. They would be great for any of those situations, but I also plan to buy more to put some in each of our cars- they would be perfect to have in case your car breaks down or you get stranded in cold weather. Also useful to have around the house in cold environments, you can layer one between regular blankets to really increase the warmth and heat retention! I've also heard of people duct taping them together to create a mylar tent or putting a hole in the center to turn it into a poncho. Definitely worth it to keep several on hand!

They are very lightweight and compact, so you can put them in your pocket if you're going out into the woods or wherever you may roam. One will keep you warm and dry for the night.They are reusable to a certain point, but because they are very thin, there's only so many times you can roll them up and reuse before they start falling apart. Also they make a lot of noise, just like any large plastic sheet would.
