I stuffed the padding from both shoes into the one foot in question that was really tight and second wear the shoes were significantly more flexible and comfortable. I don't know why that happens, but it always seems to happen with these shoes. But despite that, these are the shoes he wanted and he loves them. They look absolutely fabulous as well. They are clunky, but that's the point, I think.
