The limit is specified by maximum soot emissions and is not reached in our solution. In the cylinders, even at full load, there is an enormous air surplus which is sufficient to process an increased injection quantity. Torque and power increase until this excess air is used. Since the delivery quantity of the injection pump is prescribed, the required injection quantity is easily adjusted by means of extended control times of the injection valves. This is done by our external PowerBox which optimises the sensor signals so that the on-board computer simply adjusts an increased injection quantity.
