First Alert Battery Smoke Alarm

This smoke alarm was just what I needed. It work's great in my RV, fit's perfect, very easy to install, the alarm was load so people can hear it. Price was good for this product

This smoke detectors were extremely easy to install. It took me 15 minutes to install both of them. They already came with batteries. I bought these to install in my children’s bedrooms.

Price was good for a pair. It took a week to be delivered! Detectors were was to activate and install. Screws with drywall anchors are provided. Spoke detectors I have used in the past were tricky to twist into the base. This design was simple and very easy to twist into (and out).

Very pleased with this purchase. Packaging was great. Bought this as used and they were in original condition. Batteries were new so nothing had been used or previously installed. I had purchased a First Alert before for my camper from Camping World. It came with a Duracell battery. These did not. I opted for a yeary battery change vs. the 10 year internal battery. I had the 10 year (not First Alert), and they only lasted 4-5 years.

If placing anywhere near kitchen (mine is maybe 12 feet from stove), the alarm is hyper sensitive and goes off at the slightest hint of heat (e.g., an air fryer will set it off). There's a button that can pause the beep but sometimes that only suppresses for a minute or two. Will have to relocate it (the old one never had this issue in current location). Bought 5 of these, easy to install and nice smaller size. Still recommend overall, just be mindful of the kitchen placement.

Ordered as replacements for a rental property. Arrived as expected based off of the add, installed with the included hardware, the detector fit into the bracket easily. Based on previous version of the detector these have a high level of reliability and with new technology, false alarms from cooking are a thing of the past. The alarm produces a loud alarm that will alert anyone in the house of smoke. Have used this brand and versions of this alarm for years in rental property with no problems and few false alarms. Would order again.

I've been using this brand for decades and I'm glad they took things to a little higher level for the most basic even though it costs a little more . For some reason the ones I have that were the old basic unit would last about 3 years then start beeping like the battery was dead even with a new battery , thus needed to be replaced . This unit is easier to blow off the sensor and hopefully that'll help it last longer . Nothing more annoying than that irregularly timed beep at oh dark thirty and not knowing which one it is because of the irregularity of when it beeps . I have a smoke detector in every bedroom, laundry , kitchen, den and hallways for a total of 8 in the home. Not knowing which one needs attention sucks . This one did need for me to change the frame it fits in but the screws stayed in the same spots so it was super quick to change out .

This smoke alarm was quick and easy to install, and it provides exactly what I was looking for-reliable protection and peace of mind. The instructions were clear, and it was up and running in just a few minutes. The alarm has a clean, low-profile design that blends in nicely with the ceiling. I also like that it's battery operated, so it continues working even if the power goes out. The test button is easy to access, and the alarm is loud enough to be heard throughout the house, which is exactly what you want in an emergency. If you're replacing an old smoke detector or adding extra protection to your home, this is a dependable, easy-to-install option from a trusted brand. Highly recommend!

Ordered two 3 packs. One would not stop beeping, defective.
