Can't go wrong
Prior to buying the evenflo manual breast pump, I had been using the Lansinoh Manual pump and a Medela electric pump. Personally, I found manual pumping to be faster and as a working Mom we need all the time we can get back. So I know longer use the electric pump. When I firstr went looking into Manual Pumps I struggled between the Lansinoh and Medela. Mainly bc these are two well known names in BPs and assumed like many if its expensive it must be good. I opted for the Lansinoh which in all honestly does the job. I've had the Lansinoh for about 3 months and it just stopped working well. It takes me about 30-40 mins to pump 5 ounces. The suction isn't what it once was and I can only guess is maybe there is a microscopic hole that is lessening the pressure. That being said, I didn't want to drop another $30-$40 on a new pump so I opted to give the Evenflo a try. I recieved it yesterday and to my surprise I pumped 6 oz COMFORTABLY (you know what i mean) in 13 mins. I pulled more milk from each than I have in weeks with the Lansinoh. At first, i t hought it was a cheap version of BP. The pumps are very shallow so I didn't think it was going to work but to my surprise its the best pump I've had.I suggest to anyone for the $15.00 to give it a try.

It saved the weekend and it literally became my favorite pump to use
This is Adam's wife writing this review. This pump saved me last year during Thanksgiving. We were several hours away from home staying with family in a remote location. I thought I had prepared well by packing my double-electric pump so that family members could feed our baby while we would rest. Somehow, I managed to bring incorrect accessories with the pump (that fit another), which made it unusable. I was literally hand-pumping in an effort to keep my milk supply up and to make sure we had a bottle on hand for backup. Luckily, 30 miles away I was able to go to a Wal-mart and get this pump. It was the only one they had in stock so although I was reticent, I was desperate and decided to give it a try. It saved the weekend and it literally became my favorite pump to use. It was so much easier to use than the double-electric pump I had become used to. It has fewer parts, it is easy to travel with, easy to clean, easy to use, and overall, much more convenient for our family. Since then, I've given this pump away as gifts to other new breastfeeding moms because I've found it to be so helpful.

Good portable option, a little painful...and save that little elastic thingy!
I've owned two of these breast pumps so far. They are really very useful because they are small enough to throw in a diaper bag, yet powerful enough to pump when you are away from an electric breast pump. In several situations, including on an airplane and during a long work day, they have really been a lifesaver when you need to drain breastmilk. This convenience comes with a few problems, in this order:1) The suction on the pump is pretty harsh on your anatomy. Until you get used to the pressure, it's downright painful. Best advice I can give is not to squeeze the handle all the way. Squeeze it part way only until you get to the right amount of suction for yourself.2) Like most pumps, it's a PITA to clean. You have to open up the top and take out this gasket, and there's a little cup shaped apparatus on the bottom of the pump that you also have to remove and get into. The silicone piece around the horn (which helps to make it a little softer) is hard to get out, but then once you try to put it back on it has a tendency to want to pop off.3) There's no way to seal the bottle once you are finished pumping. Therefore, if you accidentally tip the bottle over, the milk will spill out. I find it's best to just bring a breastmilk storage bag at all times and empty the breastmilk out right away.4) Over time, the little elastic that keeps the pump handle going will get slack. They include an extra one in the package, but seriously by the time the first one wears out---being a new mom, you have already lost that little elastic thingy in some drawer with all the other little doodads that you've put away to avoid your little one chewing on then, and you won't be able to find it.But, of course this is all in the context...A portable pump, very handy in some situations, but not a perfect product.

Works exceptionally well for a manual pump!
I bought this because my double electric pump was in a moving truck halfway across the country and I really needed to pump a few ounces due to a last minute outing I had been invited to. It was on the more affordable side and had good reviews so thought why not? It lived up to its description and reviews - I managed to pump as much as I would with the electric pump in the same amount of time! It isn't as easy of course, as you have to switch hands after a while because they begin to ache, but it's great for that "just in case moment", or when you are out and about. I would totally recommend it to relieve engorgement in those early days, especially if you don't want to lug a pump around with you all day.

I would recommend this manual hand pump to anyone.
Great manual pump. Was worth every penny and more. Very easy to use. Instructions were very clear on the method to pump to get good flow from this manual pump. Never had any problems with it. I could screw on a medela bottle to the bottle attachment, I did not always need to have the evenflo bottle that it came with. Three all plastic parts in the dishwasher, expect for the 2 smaller blue pieces that I washed by hand b/c I didn't want to lose them in dishwasher. I would recommend this to any mom as an alternate use when you don't have ability to use your electric pump. It was also much quicker to use this in the car or while traveling instead of setting up battery pack to large pump with hoses, etc.
