Monsoon Pacific Villa Faux Leather Counter Stool (Set of 2), Black

So I looked for barstools for a while. Finally decide on these. So I bought theses for a discounted price because they had flaws. So three of the bar stools had very minor flaws that I can live with. The forth had major flaws. The 4th stool had 2 legs that were cracked and coming apart. I had to get my wood glue out and glue the legs together. I clamped them for 24 hours and used titebond wood glue. The legs seem to work just fine now. But I was a little disappointed the 4 th stool had been damaged, and not just cosmetic damage. This was functional damage.

Perfect for my pool room! These were perfect to replace some very cheap looking barstools that came with a small pub table I had. The assembly was ok for someone like me who is used to putting things together. However if you are someone who likes to breeze through instructions and wing it...good luck. First chair took me about 30 mins to make sure I did it right step by step with no wobbling. Second chair took about 15 mins as I knew the process and already knew what snags to avoid. These were worth every cent of the amazon warehouse deals price I paid and even a lil more !

This is the best I could find in red at an affordable price. I really like the height, the color and the material. Even though when you get them, the way they are packed, one of the chairs has a huge dent. Not sure if it will ever go away. I had to use glue to make the legs more sturdy... if not it also has a gap when you connect them. What gives me peace of mind (hopefully) is the insurance for 5 years in case they tear or break thru amazon.

The chairs arrived in a timely manner, and were all in excellent condition -- no nicks, tears, ragged edges, or anything other than perfect. The biggest challenge was attaching the back to the assembled seat. There are two sets of screws that are very close in length, and the ones identified for attaching the back are barely long enough to do the job. It took two people -- one to compress the pieces together as tightly as possible, and the other to tighten the screw -- to put the back on. If it weren't for that, I'd have given them 5 stars. The chairs are comfortable and sturdy.

These chairs are a good deal. But they definitely aren’t high quality. Some of the screw holes to hold leg struts in place strip easily even when tightening by hand. We got them as extras for our island in kitchen. They look nice and comfort is average. But look elsewhere if you want something super sturdy.

Arrived packaged nicely. They look nice. I had problems putting them together but my husband came in and was able to put them together fairly easy. I ordered 2 sets (4 chairs in total). One of the chairs did not come with any hardware so we contacted the seller and we received the hardware in about a week. The chairs sit comfortably. The backs are a little shorter than I wanted but they are still very comfortable. The foot railings around the bottom don't seem very secure so we try to be very careful with those.

Assembly points were a little difficult to screw in and loosened pretty quickly but overall it’s a very comfortable chair. The maintenance seems to require a little more effort than I wanted but I find it very comfortable.

The below review was made after I assembled the first one. I got sick, and it took a few days to get to the second one. THAT one was a joke. The seat would not be bolted on no matter what. In frustration I then had to dis-assemble the first one to box them all back up for return. when I placed the seats in the box, I could see one was about 2 inches smaller than the other! This is so ridiculous, and now I wonder if when warehouse said it was $30 because of "repackaging" they really meant "good luck lady."Original review with 4 stars: Assembly required, 9 bolts and 5 screws, not too hard. See below about the rungs. The parts are under the seat which has a Velcro'd flap to remove for assembly, then we Velcro the flap back in place to hide the bottom. I have other chairs ordered online that did not bother with a Velcro piece of fabric for the bottom, so that is a nice touch.I got my 2 orange stools at a huge discount from Warehouse Deals because they were "repackaged" but really they had a small scrape on one leg, No biggie to fix with a paint pen. Other Deals may be the same issue.I find the wood and SOFT faux-leather of good quality and I would not complain about the finish - it is actually well done, and pretty. The hardest part for me was assembly of the lower wood "rungs" between the legs. They have these large wood tabs on each end that should go into the pre-made holes on the legs. I could not pound each of those in all the way even with a mallet. Some went in fine, a couple leave small gaps. They do not tell us which direction they should be inserted so it is possible that I have them in the wrong way. One of them is marked "front" and the other 2 say nothing (one "rung" is already attached to the piece with the seat back and back 2 legs). There are also 2 screw holes in each end, so I inserted them in order that screw heads/holes would be facing downward, i.e. not visible when the stool is upright. Perhaps they need to be facing another way. In any event, it is not worth un-building the one to repack and ship it all back for refund. I will see how I can work with it for stool number 2, and even so it is not all that noticeable to have a 1/4" gap at one side of one end of 2 of the rungs. I can actually fill it with a dab of wood filer and paint pen that too!
