Starfire WR All-Season 245/40R17 91W Tire

Great dry and wet traction. No hydroplaning. Quiet, comfortable ride. I have had 3 sets of these tires and each has performed consistently. I have had a set of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2, the benchmark of performance tires, on my car previously and the Starfire WR performs 80% to 90% as well at less than half the price. My only con is that they need to be replaced at about 30,000 miles. However, I drive aggressively and do not rotate my tires as often as you should, so that has to be taken into account. Great tire, great price, best bang for the buck period.

Much quieter than the junk cooper tires that were on the car when I got it. Handle good, hydroplaining is at a minimum, durability is yet to be determined, have 3000 miles on them and have no issues with wear or air loss. For a cheap tire definatly worth the money. Will be replacing the rear tires on this car with these also

The value of these tires at this price is incredible. Starfire is a known brand that I'd made by Cooper. I did my research and this was the cheapest name brand tire I could find. The tread is deep and they look good on my car. You cannot tell at all that they are a cheap tire, I've had significantly more expensive tires (including michelins) and you cannot tell the difference. I've had no issues in the rain on the highway. At $80 a tire these are a helluva deal.

This is a very good tire! The ride is very smooth and they last a long time. I am replacing the one that I currently have on my car for about 9 years!

This was a vast improvement from the noisy, bumpy and harsh set of tires that came with my used low miles 2004 Saab 9-3 Aero Convertible. These are quiet, smooth riding and very comfortable tires. Even the wife approved after taking it on a hundred miles round trip ride. It improved the steering and braking responses with great lateral acceleration during lane changes. They are also excellent in heavy rain situations, no hydroplaning so far. It felt that the rolling resistance is less with seeming improved mpg. Although considered entry level tires I found them at a good discount here on Amazon. I also wanted to buy American. My only concern was that they took a lot of weights to balance, according to my installer friend. I just hope that the weights remain. This is why I am not giving it five stars at this time.

Great looking performance tires at a great price! I didn't want cheap looking tires but didn't want to spend a fortune either. These are perfect! The ride is good and traction is definitely better than the Radial T/As they replaced. Also, cornering is excellent. The installing technician was impressed that they required very little weight to balance. I have only had them on the car for a week and have had multiple compliments on the look

When my tires arrived, I was very excited to load them & take them to Midas to have them mounted, balanced & aligned. They look very sporty, quiet, smooth ride like a Caddy with no noise & greatest value for the money!!! I definitely will order my next set here!!
