Best blades
I like this brand. Never disappointed. I use these particular blades a lot for cutting thick pieces with my jigsaw. Hard to find them this long these days in stores. Bosch brand is the closest contender for quality but these cost less in general.

You need long Diablo blades to jigsaw thick hardwoods!
I like that these Diablo blades are long enough to allow me to jigsaw more than 2-inch thick slabs of wood. My wife and I run a business creating handmade home decor. I trust the Diablo name and these blades are great. I use them to cut hardwoods with knots and thicknesses that push the limits of the blade length. These blades take a lot of abuse and continue to cut. I have found no other blades to compete with these Diablo blades.

Perfect to cut width of 2x4 on edge
Bought these to make cuts in existing 2x4 framing without damaging the sheathing on the other side. They appear to be just the right length at full stroke, and should allow more precision than a reciprocating saw. Bonus: Swiss made - like my jigsaw :) - and rated for wood with nails.
