After reading the reviews, I had pretty low expectations. So I was delighted to find the kettle is brilliant. It looks good, the lid closes properly, the same noise volume as our last kettle, boils well. We’re only on day 1, but very impressed. We bought the refurbished one, and with a discount applied at checkout, it was less than £15. Total bargain.

I wanted a white kettle and matching toaster and this was a good option from, what I thought was a good brand. The internal filament of the toaster bent after a couple of uses and was returned and replaced. The kettle leaked after a few months and was returned. and refunded. A second kettle was purchased and this also leaked so was returned and refunded. I won’t be buying another Cuisinart.Fortunately, the Amazon customer services team (chat) was helpful and accepted the returns without any hassle. Extremely disappointed.

This Kettle seemed good to begin with but started leaking out of the sides (where the lower metal ring is) after just 6 months. Not what one would expect...

We purchased the kettle at the beginning of February this year having done some serious research during January. We needed a slightly smaller kettle and we wanted a white kettle to match our kitchen. The kettle is sturdy and made of metal as opposed to others which are usually made of plastic. We thought this would suit us rather well.It is now the beginning of April and we have decided that we will no longer put up with the kettle. We really have tried to get used to it but eventually we decided life is too short.Firstly, the lid is more of a flap so it does not close fully. When the kettle is boiling, the steam blows out of the lid. It takes forever to turn itself off when boiling. Our kitchen can become like a sauna. We find our kitchen windows steamed up after it has boiled. When it starts to boil there are sounds similar to minor explosions inside the kettle. Very off putting!Other than that, it does boil water very quickly but frankly we have given it a fair chance and would rather buy another kettle which has a proper lid, is not so noisy and which turns itself off in a reasonable time. The return window unfortunately lasts just one month and it is too late to send it back. I would not burden a charity shop with this kettle so it will be going to the local tip to be recycled into something useful.Very disappointed.

The media could not be loaded.  I bit louder than expected I loved the design. Looks very pretty on a worktop.Unfortunately 4 months after using it started to leak. It makes big paddle around within few hours. Very dissatisfied as wasn’t cheap.

I was expecting to get a cosmetically flawed kettle having paid only £17.00 for it and was told it had some marks on it.Although the box was slightly damaged the kettle itself was brand new and not a mark on it. Works well and for the money I'm very pleased.

I took the chance after reading the reviews and ordered it anyway. The kettle is mostly fine but it had clearly been used - marks on the inside and dust on the plug. The lid doesn't close down fully at the front so steam leaks out and sits on the lid. Boils fine.
