Q: Could I use this to crochet if so what size hook?

These are very soft to touch and strong threads - I would imagine that you could - I do not personally crochet, so I can really only comment on the quality of this thread.

Looks to be 3, but not for sure!?

Q: Does this cord become fuzzy with wear over time? Does the wax coating hold onto dirt?

It’s not the kind of waxed cord that is sticky or stiff.

Q: If the cord is 8mm, would 8mm beads fit the cord or should I get bigger beads?

No, the cord is 1mm! My experience is that all beads have different sizes of holes!? So check it the disruption of the bead, 1mm or larger!
