A perfect knife sharpener
It is a premium knife sharpener and so it costs more than normal but it is worth the extra cost. I have just bought Mercer knives and so they don't need sharpening yet but I did have a cheap, blunt, well used, old carving knife to test this sharpener with. As per the instructions, I ran it through section 1 for 20 times to coarse it. Then I ran it through section 2 (the fine section) for 6 times to sharpen it and it came out sharp! I was astonished. If it could make this knife sharp again then it can make any knife sharp again. It's very easy to use, comfortable and solid and I am delighted with it

Much better than those sharpeners which come with the knife sets. I have a great set of Mercer knives and this is perfect. I can keep them all sharp.

Funktioniert sehr gut
Wenn man sich an die Anleitung hält und bei sehr stumpfen Messern etwas Geduld mitbringt, funktioniert das Gerät sehr gut. Sehr kurze Messer können allerdings nicht geschliffen werden (Obstmesser sind aber noch OK). Alle meine größeren Küchenmesser bekam ich sehr scharf. Meine Messer sind aber auch nichts besonderes, so dass ich nichts sagen kann, wie sich Messer mit hochwertigem Stahl verhalten. Gezackte Klingen hab ich auch nicht getestet. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden. Es ist eine große Verbesserung zum Wetzstein, mit dem ich vorher gearbeitet habe.
