Excellent book!!! I can't imagine how someone could rate it with only one star. I can only think that the explanation is that european taste in decoration is quite different from the most popular american trends in interior design. This is a magnificent example of quintessential european and international good taste.The pictures are excellent, and the presentation and edition of this book is one of the best I have experienced. I am so very happy I decided to purchase this book, and I highly recommend anyone who is interested in expanding their knowledge towards european contemporary interior design, to go ahead and buy the book.By the way, this is the first time I order a book to be shipped to Peru, where I live, using Amazon Global Priority Shipping, and while it is not cheap, it is worth every penny. The book arrived two days earlier than the expected delivery date...it was here in only six days.Thank you Amazon

Ideas for interior decoration of Andalucian home

Spanish society became interested in interior design only very recently. Until the 1980s Spanish families, for the most part, limited themselves to repositioning furniture as they inherited it. Decorative objects hardly existed, save for a few bronze sculptures and family photographs. Jaime Parladé broke into this static world, introducing the concept of interior design as an opportunity for creativity. Reviving old country houses is his speciality. His style is practical, pleasing to the eye, and timeless. The book successfully documents his revolutionary career.

Absolutely amazing design - especially if you love the rich color and pattern of designers such as Robert Kime, Michael Smith, Renzo Mongiardino.

Beautiful book, wonderful vistas and houses. Jaime at his best! Everyone will love this book. In fact, I had to buy another copy as the first friends I showed it to wouldn't give it back to me!

Oh, What a dissapointment! Lots of pictures, very little information of What is there. Maybe just a coffee table book with no substance. Style is spanish, which is nice.
