We had a cake made by a bakery, with an edible image printed on the top of the gender. Had the baker send extra icing for touch ups ;). And we added this paper to the top of the cake on a layer of icing. We painted the hearts on the paper ,thinly with the extra icing so the colors matched the cake. It was easy to use and burned away easily to show the gender reveal underneath. It is edible but tastes like you have licked an envelope lol. It smelled like marshmallows over a fire while burning off the cake :)

After reading through reviews, I selected this particular brand and package of the edible paper. My primary reason for ordering was to recreate the “Caesar salad” cake shown in the food network magazine. As noted by another reviewer, this did the job. Having read about how the paper may dissolve quickly when exposed to moisture, I used a solution of sugar with a hint of vodka to create my edible paints. I have since used this to create paper flowers and am pleased to note that my cakes have looked amazing. Creating the flowers was easy (a lot of good tutorials on you tube). I found that it was easy to paint on the paper. It dried quickly. Painting it does make it cracklier so if you need to cut it in shapes, do so before painting it. The product itself came in a padded envelope. Every sheet was undamaged. For the price, you get a lot of sheets. And they bear out the “edible” part of their description. They do not taste half bad.

Every single page came completely broken and unusable this is not the regular wafer paper that I order but I needed it in a hurry and was the only one that would get to me in time I even paid extra for overnight shipping because I needed it every piece is broken

So I have a slight fetish with torrone nougat, but at $12+ a box I'd be better off financially if I were hooked on hard drugs. WELP...I decided that my crazy booty was gonna make some (nougat, not drugs). This weird paper shizz worked just fine. It does like to curl like a Canadian at the olympics but I assume there's a learning curve to this Bougie-level culinary stuff. My nougat turned out awesomely and the wafer paper made it so cutting and storing went absolutely smoothly. No strange flavors, either. Will be buying again. Thank you magical wafer paper lords!

I use this in my candy making every Holiday. When I make Pistachio cranberry Torrone. Wafer paper is a must! It is a good weight/thickness.
