I ate the whole thing
March the 31st I bought this , on the 22nd it was gone.. Today the 25th I put what was left in my gluten free pancakes with fruit.. I can not afford do buy this all the time. I am 61 and love peanut butter in almost everything. I have a auto illness and this was a good fill. Hard to find a safe one to eat. I did share some with my 3 dogs as I fed them apples and peanut butter.

This was a gift to a dog rescue in Anna, TX
Texas has more abandoned dogs than any state, I believe. This rescue in Anna, TX. has 50 dogs at all times. The heat of summer 2024 was exceptionally difficult for the dogs.Luckily for them, they had air conditioning. But that means they are in a kennel all day.Chewing and gnawing helps their pent up energy. I sent XL chew toys, with the 9 lbs. Of peanut butter to be spread on the chew toys. And put in freezer. Gives the dogs something to do.The supervisor of the Rescue said the dogs were loving something new and different.I am sorry I do not know anything about the peanut butter product, because I am in Nebraska. I saw the plight of Texas rescue dogs and wanted to help them. And I know my one dog loves peanut butter. And it sounded like the 50 rescue dogs did too.

Nine pounds of peanut butter!
Excellent product. It’s a lot of peanut butter. My mother used to buy ours in 3 lb tubs. It delicious, natural peanut butter. I live alone so I’m decanting, if you will, some to a mason jar and storing the bulk in the bottom of the fridge. The butter is just as good on toast and celery or apple slices as it is in a protein shake. I’m a peanut butter addict. PS: I recently had to reorder. I learned my lesson. This time I opened it immediately and used a strong spatula and spoon to redistribute the solids that have settled to the bottom. Once the entire content is smooth clean the outside of the container, recap and then into the fridge.

Do not get this on your cat.
The peanut butter I received was sour and rancid but it wasn’t past its expiration date. I couldn’t return it or get a refund so I decided to try to put it to best use and put it in the bottom of a barrel to hopefully catch mice and trap them in the oily peanut butter. It certainly worked well to catch mice and once they were in there all covered in peanut oil and sticky peanut butter, they couldn’t escape that barrel for the life of them. Unfortunately I didn’t consider that the barrel full of squeaking oiled up mice would attract my cat. You know what they say about curiosity and cats. Well it didn’t kill the cat this time but I almost did when I found him in the living room of my house after he had spent the morning flopping around in that barrel of peanut butter and mice trying to escape. Somehow that cat got out of the barrel and by the time I got home that cat had managed to spread what seemed to be 5 pounds of peanut butter through my house covering the majority of my possessions and surfaces in what I can only imagine was a desperate attempt to rid himself of the foul smelling rancid peanut butter. You can only imagine my dismay. I can however attest that this peanut butter does spread well. Especially if you add a cat and 2 dozen mice. I do not recommend this though.

We have bought 8 times.
As the title says we have bought the big tub 8 times and will continue to buy. We like that’s it’s very good and is cost effective as our family loves peanut butter. We have a drill mounted peanut butter paddle to stir up the peanut butter as the peanut oil naturally separates as do all natural peanut butters. After stirring we transfer the peanut butter into a bunch of smaller jars and refrigerate to prevent it from separating again. My main criticism is that in about half the buckets the bottom inch or so of the bucket sometimes contains hardened peanut butter that is very difficult to stir up even with a drill mounted paddle or with a big spoon. I believe it is caused by the buckets sitting too long at the distributor before delivery. If they could ship a consistently fresh easy to stir product it would be perfect.

Pours like honey - too soupy for me
The batch that I received has the consistency of honey. It does not hold its shape and when it was fully mixed I could pour it out of the pail. When I saw that I was hoping I could get it to separate so I could use the oil for cooking and the stiffer peanut butter for eating, but after a couple of days sitting in a warm room it doesn't appear to be separating either.I actually purchased this pail for making healthier bird food than can be made with typical grocery-store peanut butter. I can modify my recipe by adding more corn meal... but I'd rather have stiffer peanut butter!

Tip on opening. Easy mixing oil because fresh. Got full net weight.
Tip #1 opening the tub: The pull tab may seem to stop at 1/4 of the way around the lid. Pull harder to unwrap the tab all the way around the circular top. May need to grab pull tab with a wrench to get a good grip. This reveals 4 tabs to pull at 90 degree intervals, and the lid comes off much easier.Easy stir to mix the separated oil back in, evidently because shipped fresh before much separation. Grocery store unsalted no-additive peanut butter is usually silly-putty hard under the separated oil, presumably because warehoused for months. Same easy stir for a second order, so shipping fresh seems to be policy.Tip #2 easier stir and easy pour into smaller containers: Add 1 cup peanut butter oil into the tub before stirring. Of course put smaller containers in the refrigerator to slow separation.I received full, advertised net weight. After mixing while pouring into small jars for refrigeration to prevent further separation I measured 9.2 lbs. Advertised weight 9.0 lbs.

Great brand of peanut butter
I have a dog treat business, and I really like using this peanut butter because it's healthy and easy for me to scoop out of the bucket. I feel confident using it in my treats, and it has helped me save a lot of money as a business owner. Plus, my dog enjoys it too - after I finish with each bucket, I let her lick the leftover peanut butter.
