I’ve been using this daily for two months now and my only complaint is that the cylindrical body is smooth and hard to grip with my left hand while I crank with my right. The tool would benefit from either some knurling or a rubber sleeve to help with this. Otherwise, this is an excellent grinder that you set once and never think about again. I fill the top to the cross bar and start cranking. Voila: great coffee in minutes. Combine with a pour over coffee maker and you have a perfect travel coffee kit.UPDATE: Oct 22 the wooden handle popped off. This is annoying but the product is still useable. Hoping the seller sees this and responds.

I compared a number of burr grinders and reviews before I bought this one. The review that influenced me most was from someone who also had a Comandante but wanted a less expensive one for traveling. That reviewer found this one to be almost as good as the Comandante. I found this grinder to be of a fairly high quality. The pieces fit together perfectly. There is no handle wobble when grinding. The grind is consistent. Adjusting the grind is easy. It disassembles easily, and is easy to clean. It certainly is more affordable than the Comandante. The only drawback for me is the limit on the amount of beans it will grind. The directions indicate that 30 grams is the limit, but I found that 26 or 27 grams fills the main body and the catcher. If not for this, I would have given it 5 stars.

Got this grinder delivered a few days ago and have run a dozen test brews through my AeroPress. While it does not produce the perfect grind it is quite good, especially for the price. It is also easy to adjust. It grinds enough beans for a single cup of coffee very quickly, within 1 to 2 minutes. I recommend running one throw away grind when you first use it and using a full scoop of cheap bean to find the perfect setting before fine tuning your setting and brew times/styles. It also looks good and feels solid, like it will last.

This was easy to assemble and small enough to pack away if you wanted to take it with you for traveling. I was very happy with this purchase.

I use this for French press. The grind is fairly uniform, and I end up with minimal sediment in the cup, which you have to expect with press coffee. It also grinds quickly, I'd say less than 15 seconds to grind 14 grams of beans. I make only one cup at a time so that's all I need. It's also small enough for travel, which is another reason I bought it. As far as build quality goes it is as solid as one could ask for - a machined aluminum housing surrounding a solid stainless steel mechanism.

I have owned several electric grinders. All have produced as much powder as they have grounds. This makes a better cup of coffee plain and simple.

Surprised at how nice an item this is. All metal construction, including bearings. No plastic anywhere - I disassembled and checked. Really solid action, and a pleasure to hold. The grinding was fast, about 3x faster than my cheaper manual grinder.
