The first one didn't work but they replaced it very quickly.
I received the second one today. they were very quick to help me and replace it. I can say that the timer now works perfectly! it is an excellent tool for small children and SN.

Not silent, and stupidly loud alarm. But great for the light.
You can hear it tick. There is either a sound option or flashing light, not both, and the sound has only one setting - loud. He control switches are all inside the battery compartment, which is fine if you say and forget, but fiddly if you want to change regularly. It's also a bit rubbish for very short timer settings, eg a couple of minutes - forget it.But... I work in 45 minute chunks, I listen to music when I work (so not overly bothered by the ticking), and I only want the light to flash, which it can do for 3 or 60 seconds. So this works well for me, but could be better.

Good visual timer for child
This has really helped my 5yo focus on eating and understanding how long she's taking (2hrs no longer). It makes ultimatums about pudding availablity tangible to her rather than apparently arbitrary and helps add structure to other timed elements of the day.

Poor quality for such a price
It worked well with my kids. They barely used it and after 18 months stopped working for no reason.

Works well - but need mute function for alarm
This visual timer works very well and comes with included batteries. The display is uncluttered with nicely spaced numbers - clear to read. The red visual timer is easy to read and works well. There is a faint tick every second in use buts its much fainter than standard kitchen timers.Body is plastickt but robust enough. Doesn't feel worth £14 more like £7The alarm is loud and there are two sound level options and 2 durations (3 and 60 seconds)As there is no mute function for the alarm I shall be returning this. It would be good for management of time blindness in adhd but I need a silent alarm in case I use this around others

Great for longer times
This is a great visual timer for longer time lapses but not quite so good for short ones. For a child with SEN where the wait time is normally only 1-5 minutes this didn’t work so well for us. The timer also doesn’t seem to move for these short times - the clock works as the alarm goes off when you move it onto 0 but does not count down. Not very impressed.

good little gadget
I would give it 5 star if it can stop beeping after a certain time range, like 5 seconds. Now, I have to turn and back again to stop the noice. a bit not convenient. Other than that, it is a nice gadget.
