Aran Crafts Irish Soft Cable Knitted Crew Neck Unisex Sweater (100% Pure New Wool)

With a low tolerance of the cold, I needed to invest in something to help keep me warm. This sweater is expensive, and since it is 100% wool I'll have to be extra careful storing it, but it is worth it. The color is good, neutral enough for most clothes. The knitting is pretty professional, though not as tight as I'd expect. You can see through it somewhat. I'll wear a shirt underneath. There are no washing instructions; my wife tells me it will need to be professionally cleaned. Since relocating to a warmer climate isn't an option, I invested in this. Wool's about the only thing that really works.

Gave my son this sweater last year. He loved it! But he washed and dried and it shrunk. Got him another one at his request this year.

I've been wanting a big, comfy, authentic wool sweater from Ireland for decades. The high price tag has kept me away from making a purchase. I decided to take a chance on this company. The price is so affordable that I figured the sweater would be thin, or I would be disappointed in some major way. I WAS WRONG. Great sweater - plenty of bulk and warmth. The look is great, and it fits wonderfully! If you are borderline or in between sizes, go with the larger size. I am completely pleased with this purchase.

It has a wooly smell. Hopefully I can put it in the dryer with a dryer sheet.

I was delighted to find this jumper is well made, looks good and exactly what I had in mind and expected from the photos. It is good value and is the kind of nice wool, loosely machine-knitted garment that I expected. It is not the tightly hand-knitted sort you get for twice the price, but I didn't expect that - and still have perfect, 40 year old one I had made! It is decently warm and very comfortable to be in. I'm 6'2" and 46 chest and the XXL fits perfectly. Finally, the delivery was rapid and efficient.

Partner really wanted a chunky Arran jumper but didnt like this one. When on it was see-through & not tight knit as hoped. Not good value for money unfortunately

I bought a large as I would normally do. It is very slightly a closer fit than expected but I'm expecting it to become loose as I wear it.

Bought as gift for my father he loves it. It’s not as thick or warm as a different Aaron sweater I bought him but looks lovely.

Great product. Warm. Looks good. Wear a few times to loosen the top around the neck.
