If you have all the other Boss Monster expansions, you might as well pick this up. The new cards are fun, in that there's an element of randomness to them, such as rolling a six-sided die to determine the damage caused by the new "Fireball" spell. Most of these cards also use counters to modify the damage value done by the rooms. The "Clock Tower" and "Spellslime Incubator" are particularly clever: The former starts with 4 +1 damage counters (we've been using pennies) and loses one every turn, while the latter starts with a damage value of 0 but gains +1 for every spell you cast, making it easy to pump up if you like to use spells...and providing you don't build over the room.These were cards first introduced in the videogame version of Boss Monster, which I confess I have not played. But whatever their origin, the Paper & Pixels set has been a welcome addition to our deck. I wouldn't buy this set as your first expansion, but it's cheap enough to make worth buying if you're a fan of this game.

If you play Boss Monster, you'll want these expansion cards. There's nothing seriously game-changing about them, but it's nice to add a little variety to the assortment.My only (minor) complaint is that these cards are a bit expensive, compared to the price per card that one pays for the whole set. I suppose the price fluctuates though, and value is subjective anyway, so I'm only taking off one star -- and the point is really debatable anyway.The set is worth having, in any case.

Love the original boss monster and got the expansion because we had played the original so much. This just added a couple extra things that made it more fun, but also a bit more complex, especially for first timers. Super fun if you love the original and want to get beyond the original rules and characters. I never like when an expansion says that you need to use your own stuff (like chips or counters) though...

Nice mini expansion. Adds some new content without massively changing the game. If you only draw a single card from this expansion, it's still useful.

Good pack came in time for Christmas, brother really enjoys this game so we got him a few Boss Monster items.

Product came in perfect condition! I only had the base game and one expansion. With what effects I read on the card this will give much more enjoyment to the game.

Easy to pull it out and play a quick, easy game any time.

Game comes in a small card packet, like a booster pack for games like Magic or Pokemon, includes 14 new cards, which include a few new bosses, spells, rooms and the Princess Epic Hero.As an expansion it doesn't alter the game dramatically but does give you 2 new effects, random damage and counters.Random damage is dealt with by rolling a six-sided dice (d6).Counters are either added to increase the effectiveness or are removed/ sacrificed to reduce the effectiveness of your dungeon rooms.These effects are actually quite fun and are really the most expansive of the rules, so it doesn't over complicate things.Unfortunately the fact that you have to provide the dice and counters is a bit of a shame, as there was definitely an opportunity for official tokens and dice to be offered, however at least keeps the price low, so it's not a major problem, you just have to be creative.I actually think it makes the base game better.For a low price this is a great expansion for the base game.

So these are good cards, add another layer to the game and overall look very nice. Although these cards look a little different than the original deck. The back of the card looks a little less shiny and lighter in colour. I thought at first I'd bought some knock offs but they're the proper cards. Just a little different in terms of colouring on the back. But fine overall.

Beautiful cards but adding them to the gameplay of Boss Monster isn'tsuper straight forward as you require a dice to work out damage caused by certain cardsand possibly some counters for other cards which lose damage points over time.(you will need Boss Monster 1 or 2 to use these cards)

Love this little expansion pack, see image for the cards that are included. I bought this pack just for the Princess Epic Hero and it was worth it. Please note though; you will need a dice and counter to use some of these cards properly in the game. That being said, it's fairly easy to remember when to add or subtract counters to cards and it only takes a minute to download a dice rolling app if you don't have a dice handy.
