Reliability is king
Replacement for a 34 year old mixer paddle. Same fit, same quality, 30+ years of frequent use before it needed a replacement so durability and reliability is a given.

Enamel chipping
White enamel chipping and I've only had it a week. Gently handwashed... used only for baking a couple things also.

This is not coated stainless steel as advertised.
Although it claims to be nylon coated stainless steel, it is nylon coated aluminum just like the original KichenAid part. (I had no expectation that it was, even though it claimed to be.) The nylon coating is dishwasher safe, but it it cracks (especially near where it attaches to the mixer), the dishwasher water will get to the aluminum, it will react, and flake off the nylon coating. (This is the 4th coated mixed paddle I had has in 30 years.) So I hand wash it anyways -- it lasts longer that way. Hint: if it really was stainless steel, there would be no need to coat it.

The beater is damaged.
The beater was to replace the Kitchenaide beater. The covering peeled off; exposing aluminum. I don't want the hassle to replace it again. Very disappointed.
