My 5-year-old loves these pure, fun, and light-hearted stories of Percy the Park Keeper and his animal friend adventures.

So many children's books are awful, with poorly conceived stories and writing or horrible characters that make them agony for the poor parents to read every night. However this series is very enjoyable and I think is excellent value for money. I bought one of the books on its own for my then three year old and we liked it so much that I bought the set.The illustrations are lovely and every book comes with some sort of fold out page. Some of these just illustrate the story, whereas others are activities - e.g. one has a huge maze that you can try to get in and out of and another had a list of items you have to find.The thing I most like about the books is that the stories are well-written, with gentle humour and themes. They don't rely on bodily functions, puerile or banal themes to keep your child interested. On the face of it the story seems pretty basic (like cutting the grass), but there's always a little twist that surprises you or adds humour etc which makes them fun for kids and adults.Really lovely books that I couldn't recommend enough.

decent value for the set, nice series of books for young children. nice touch having the foldout picture in each, good graphics and nice resource for child to discuss the story afterwards

As you'd expect from Percy the park keeper books these are excellent. Really enjoy reading them to our Grandson. Made a lovely present. Delivery was very quick too.

We already had After the Storm but it was much cheaper to buy this set than the other books individually. The books are just lovely. Brand new & sealed.

My grandson is enamoured with this series of books. He has even taken to wearing a flat cap!
