    Adorable and Functional

Comes exactly as it is presented on the photos. A tiny glass jar and a cork with a usb stick in it. I just thought the idea of a drift bottle usb drive was fantastic. I bet this really could be set adrift at sea if one chose to do so, but I'm not gonna drop this in water to test it as I have to deliver it to a client with photos in a couple of days.I took one star off because of a slight design flaw (it may be exclusive to the copy that I received). When I plug it into my laptop, I have to push it in ever so slightly more than I would have thought because the usb stick is a just a tad too deep into the cork. It is not a huge issue - just a matter of a tap-of-the-finger more pressure to insert into the usb port.

I've used these for a year or more now to deliver client files and I haven't heard any issues about corruption or incomplete disc. I am on a mac so I do have to reformat each drive to EX-FAT partition before I copy to it, otherwise it will not work with a mac. But, I like doing that anyway because I rename the drive at the same time. I check the drive in Bridge when complete and I see them all and get a count to make sure.  I haven't heard back from any clients and I'm sure I would have, although this year I did go to an online download system and clients may have actually ignored the drive when received.

This arrived on time and was just what I needed aesthetically to create a Christmas gift. However, the drive was write protected, which made it nothing more than a cute bottle, not a storage device at all. If I weren't tech savvy, and knew how to fix this serious flaw, I'd have been VERY disappointed and I'd be asking for my money back. As it was, I spent a frustrating half hour to get to the drive I'd paid for.
