Alex Pretend & Play Tea Time Basket Kids Tea Set, 19 Piece

I got this for my niece's 8th birthday. She loves it and plays with it constantly. She enjoys putting out the tablecloth, the napkins, and the little cups. The little picnic basket is the cutest, and she loves putting things in and out. My 3yo also enjoys playing with her every time she has the chance.

We bought this as a gift for a close friend's 3-year-old and she loved it! It was the only gift that she insisted on opening and playing with right away in the middle of her party and her mother tells us she now plays with it every day!It is really a beautiful set, with pretty blue and bright pink colors, and the basket is such a wonderful, good quality wicker. It's not nearly as small as other reviewers make it sound. It isn't the size of an adult tea set, but plenty big enough for a child (much bigger than the thimble sized set I had as a kid) and the porcelin is sturdy enough that it won't break from normal play. As long as your child doesn't throw it against the walls, they will love it!

This is SUCH a cute tea set. Unfortunately a couple pieces were already chipped when I gave it to my daughter for Christmas so be careful, probably not good for under 4 years old. Love the set, just wish it wasn’t chipped already :-/

My three year old daughter loves this tea set, and Mommy loves the price. All of the pieces are well made including the nice wicker basket. Amazon almost always has this set on sale so it is usually about half of the listed price. My husband assumed that the set cost more than it did because they pieces are real - just miniature. Unfortunately, their authenticity is actually the only drawback because the pieces, like any dishes, are breakable. I found the tea set to be durable during play, but you do need to pack the set up in its protective covers in case the basket gets pulled from a shelf. We kept ours on a high shelf so we could help our daughter when she wanted to play tea time. She pulled the basket off of the shelf one day and some of the pieces fell out and broke on our wood floors. I am considering buying the same set again because we liked it so much, but I am going to make sure that the basket latches are closed and that she not can not reach it on her own. Our daughter is only three - an older child would have a much easier time playing with the set without breaking any pieces.

I bought this for the holidays (2014) for my elf on the shelf. Sparkle (our elves name) had many tea parties and participated in lots of shenanigans with this here tea set. This is a mini tea set, the colors are beautiful and the little napkins and tea party blanket are just adorable. It is porcelain and the basket does not have separation for the pieces but my daughters (3 and 5) have been swinging this around for months and we've yet to break a piece. The wicker basket has a clasp to keep it closed and a cute child sized handle on it. I am excited to see what Sparkle does this year with it!

I bought this for my four year old daughter. The description says it is for 8+ and I should have listened. To begin, every thing is TINY. So basically it's tea for baby dolls. There is zero padding in the basket so the pieces all clang around while being carried. Also, the basket and napkins had a terrible smell when it was first opened. Our two year old loves to throw these around and so the pieces are chipped after 3 days of play. For us, this was a terrible purchase. I'd say skip this unless your kids are a bit older.

When my wife asked me to look for a Tea Party Set for her 4 year old granddaughter, this was the one I picked. There was ample warning in at least prior reviews about the size but for her, the size was just right. The picnic basket it came in was extremely nice and the pastel colors and polka dots reminded one of Alice In Wonderland, which was kinda what we were going for. We warned her to be very careful and that while accidents do happen, as long as she tries to be careful we won't get angry. She truly loves it, and hasn't broken anything. Yet.

Absolutely love it! Bought this for my 5yo daughter for Xmas and we have so much fun using it! I love that it has a basket to put it all away when finished. We have had a couple of tea sets prior to this and we always end up losing the pieces and them getting strewn all over the house. This tea set is probably best for kids a bit older, as the pieces are glass and will break if dropped. We dropped the sugar holder already and it smashed, but my husband was able to glue it back together pretty nicely!
