Can't beat these for the price
I bought these to work practice chemistry and math problems so I don't have to use a million sheets of paper that are just going to be thrown out when I'm done. They work great! Also, since they're on my desk all the time, I've started using them instead of searching frantically for a piece of scratch paper all the time. I jot down appointments 'til I get a chance to enter them into my calendar, write quick to do lists, etc.The reviews that mention the boards get stained and difficult to erase after a while are true, but it seems to be the same as any white board when it gets dirty. I assume it will come off with white board cleaner, but I haven't bought any yet since they haven't gotten gross enough to bother me.Why not 5 stars?First of all, the boards are not perfectly flat. Each has a slight curve so they don't sit flat on the table and would be difficult to hang or use in a craft project where you wanted to add a white board. I tried flattening one out by pushing it in the opposite way of the curve, and the white board material began to crack, so I just live with the curve.Secondly, with regular use and minimal attention to their handling, the shiny white surface of the boards has started to chip a little bit around the edges. This doesn't really diminish their utility, but it might become a problem in the long term if it continues to progress. So I suggest handling with care if you want the boards to last a long time. Personally, I have several I haven't even opened yet, so I'll just switch them out if the ones I'm using now get too beat up.

Exactly what I needed
If you want a thin, light, no-frills 9x11in whiteboard, buy this one. The price is cheap but it doesn't feel cheap. I bought one to use as a slate w/ info at the beginning of videos, but it's such a nice little handy write-upon-able that I immediately, same day it arrived, ordered another one to use for taking notes.

Great for SEI strategies: quick writes
This item appears to be made of the same material as white shower wallboard. As a former teacher, to save money on supplies I used a piece of shower wall board and cut it into 40 pieces the same size as the chenille boards. The cost was $13.00 dollars to make 40 quick write boards. The edges were not as smooth as the chenille boards appear. The chenille boards appear to be stamped out instead of cut out so the edges are smoother. Also some of the expo dry erase markers do not erase easily off of these chenille boards if a student leaves it to completely dry. I needed these for my Sunday school class and did not want a large quantity of boards like I did for school students. Dry erase boards are great for teaching and keeping all students engaged in learning at some level. Any student, even the shy ones who are hesitant to talk, can write or draw a response to questions that are asked during any lesson.I was hoping these boards would be thicker, so that the children would be less likely to get dry erase marker on their nice clothing. My students in Sunday school love their Chenille "quick write" boards and they love responding on their boards to vocabulary word meanings, answers to questions, their own thoughts and ideas in regards to weekly lesson objectives.

They're perfect for what I needed
These aren't the greatest white board you'll ever find...one of them was slightly dented and they're pretty easily marred; that being said I wasn't looking for the "best". I needed small white boards that I could use for individual students on individual subjects; I homeschool two students that are not in the same grade and for my use, they were perfect! They were very well-priced - in fact, they were cheap! They small enough to be easily handled, even with arthritis. There were enough of them; in fact, I'm considering buying another package of 10 because I'm using them even more than I anticipated.Having so many of them and the right size allow me to preset my teaching materials before classes start and honestly, they allow me to have one-on-one teaching time with each of the kids at their individual class levels.I've had no trouble erasing them; I do clean them often. Normally they are cleaned at the end of each day but I have left them uncleaned for 2 days and still not had any problem with them. The normal white board cleaner works great on them. These are a great buy!

Use to assist the "hard of hearing"
I bought the 10 pack and I am not a school teacher. I have 3 to 4 of them in different rooms of the house with a velcro dot attached dry marker. I and others use them to communicate with my very hard of hearing mom. Words with many consonants are very difficult for her to distinguish. Sometimes repeating a word over and over with even exaggerated enunciation is beyond her nerve damaged hearing so the more difficult words get quickly jotted down on this marker board. Maybe it would be better with hardware to attach a dry marker but the price is so good I do not mind making that work myself. The fact that the board does not have a border or trim makes it easy for fast and clean wipes.

Great for Students
came in fast, all products as is, they do what they are made for and that is to be written on. I use this a lot as an engineer major who works heavily with math and physics so I do a lot of calculations on paper and I use up a ton of paper so i decided to buy these little angels. got 10 of them, i leave one at home at my desk where I do schoolwork, I bring one with me to school, I gave two to my girlfriend and to each of my siblings to use as well as they are all college students. We all use them daily. Great deal and tools for students. I highly recommend if my situation sounds similar to yours. The only con i can think of is don't leave the writing on for too long because they will become hard to erase but that's an easy fix with some white board cleaner. Oh and don't accidently use sharpies on them or any kind of permanent marker. also hard to erase.
