Love the candles they are have timers

Love these. I ordered four as gifts - everyone was so happy. Everyone should consider purchasing these.

I was pleasantly surprised it comes with the candles but does need batteries. They look lovely!

Overall, I do like this lantern set by JHY design. It is cute, but has a few issues. I Don’t have any issues with the metal candle holders. Similarly to other reviews I read, it is the flameless LED candles that are the issue.Metal candle Holders--Set of two-Rustic, distressed look-Brownish metal with white powdering-Some residual powder may come off on your hand-Lightweight-Handles-Beautiful flower design cut out-Looks durable overall, but I’m not sure how it would hold up outside. I think I would avoid keeping these outside all the timeLED Candles-Set of two-Basic design, tan/off-whitish color-Requires 3 AAA batteries NOT included-Switch to toggle on, off, or timer-Plastic looks fairly cheap-Soft glow rather than bright light-Light is much too soft to create pretty light pattern from the metal lantern-Terrible quality battery compartment covers- ONE ARRIVED BROKEN. One won’t even latch on to cover the batteries. It just keeps falling off.-Timer setting works-not exactly sure when it turns off. I turned it on to timer setting at 6:40pm and it was still on a little before midnight, but I fell asleep. Upon waking up at around 7:00 the light was off.Anyway, I’m still happy to have this set because of the metal candle holders. The LED candles aren’t great, but they are usable and when inside the candle holder, they don’t look as cheap. I was just pretty disappointed that they weren’t even bright enough to to create the flower light/shadow pattern like I had hoped.If these came with decent quality LED candles, I would definitely give a 5/5 rating. I’m would rate the LED candles alone 2/3 for one being broken otherwise 3/3.It would be better if the LED candles were a lot brighter, came with batteries/ or better yet were rechargeable!!!I took some pictures with my living room light on, off during day with natural light, and lights off completely dark in a closet.Overall, I’m going to rate 4/5 because I like the metal candle holders a lot. I would recommend those to others. I might recommend this set to others as a whole depending on the price, but especially if the company were to fix issues with the candle.I’ll be sure to update my review if any other issues arise or I have any comments to add. I hope this review was helpful in making someone’s decision!

The design on the outside of the lanterns are sunflowers. My grandchildren and I planted a ton of sunflower seeds this year and they have grown to be huge. It has quickly become my grandchildren‘s favorite flower. There is something to be said about growing or making things yourself that instills pride.The candles in the lanterns have on/off/timer functions and require 3 AAA batteries per candle. All three functions are working as they should in both of my lanterns. When I use these in an outside seating area, I use the timer feature. The timer is running accurately and smoothly. They give off a nice soft glow. As the sun is setting, the sunflowers become apparent and shine brightly through the lanterns cut outs. They have a brushed, beachy finish which looks great with my teak furniture. But when it’s not ‘outside’ weather (like lately around here) these are great for my table or kitchen counters, too. That is when we prefer to use the on/off switch. The lanterns are light weight with an adjustable carrying handle.As a side note, my grandchildren love carrying their ‘lanterns’ around both inside and outdoor evening play. They cannot get hot, of course, so it’s okay with me! They also aren’t breakable so I don’t have to worry about shattered glass or broken candles.

I really liked the look of these when I saw them on Amazon, and thought they'd look pretty good on our front porch. When they arrived they did look as good as I thought, but didn't work like I had hoped. The candle holder itself is nice, made from a thin metal, with a grayish powder coat. This was not the issue, the included LED flame less candles were the issue. First, they use 3 AAA batteries, which were not included. I've had candles like this before, and some use batteries like I change underwear, and that's not monthly. Second, they have a three way switch, on/off/timer. After I put in the batteries, it didn't matter what I put the switch to, it just stayed on. The only way to get it to turn off was to remove the batteries, which is hardly convenient. This says you can use regular candles in these, and I'm sure in most places you can. But really liked the fact they came with flame less candles, it's to windy here to use candles all the time. But, the flameless candles that came with these are not the same quality the candle holder is, not even close. They seem like a cheap plastic, with a battery system that didn't work as it should. I don't know what these are selling for, as they are currently unavailable. Don't think I'd pay over $22 - $25 for these with the flame less candles that are included now. Those were the disappointment here, not the candle holder itself, that is actually pretty nice, and not to badly made, but still only half of this package.

I was worried these might be tiny but they are actually a pretty decent size (they look taller than 6.5 but did measure them and they are just a little over that) and they are so very cute! They are made well, arrived packaged very carefully and in great shape. I think the battery operated candle is a bit cheap in feel compared to some others I have purchased but they light up fine (they need 3 AAA batteries which are not provided) and give a nice glow but not a ton of light. You can easily use a real candle inside so that's nice. The finish is a rustic white wash and the metal is pretty thin but the cut out flowers are done well and overall it is a very pretty look. I like these very much!

Brightness Not so good. I was hoping to see the path in front of me but it's too dim.
