The right tools for the project now

I like Goldblatt products. I've got several and they offer a good quality product and a good price. I really like these knives. The solid rubberized handle feels great in the hand. I'm knocking off one star because, although I haven't used them all, the 12" knife was leaving streaks until took my sanding sponge to it to smooth it out.

How on earth are these so affordable? The build quality is great, the materials look and feel premium. I'm really impressed. I kind of expected a scam honestly. That said, I have never done drywall. I don't know if the steel has the right amount of flex or if the square shape of the smaller knives will be a hinderance in tight spots, but I am an engineer and can recognize a well-polished design and manufacturing process. That said, I did notice a slight curve to the corners of one of the medium sized knives. It looked like it would if it had been broken in and bent from feathering out coating. Not a big deal in my opinion. I'll just mark which position to hold it with a small screw or groove scored into it like The Kilted Guy. I won't be updating this review unless it goes ridiculously well or the things fall apart in my hand. I'm an amateur at this after all. You'll have to experience them yourself, but really, don't hesitate to buy these. They seem great. I'm excited to start mudding.
