Nice battery. It costs about half of the cost of the same battery from the device company. It will likely last as long as the backup device.

I’ve had an APC back up UPS ES-550 for several years. My battery recently died and I bought this as a replacement. Very easy to install and works perfectly. I like that it has many outlets for all my electronics to plug into. Difficult to estimate longevity at this time since I’ve only had it for a week.

**UPDATE: Despite all of the gymnastics (described below), when it was finally concluded the battery was indeed dead/defective, the seller did process a refund. (The seller offered a replacement or refund, but I had already purchased another replacement battery.) So, in the end, the seller did stand behind their product. Like another reviewer stated, Amazon doesn't back this product (you can't return it) and the seller wants you to try and diagnose and fix the dead battery. Take pictures of the battery, take pictures of your old battery, email the seller the part number for the battery they sent you, get an electrical tester and diagnose the battery, and on and on. But never any resolution or refund. Amazon should not allow theses kinds of sellers. It is unethical to receive a broken or defective product and have the seller make you try to diagnose and/or fix it, let alone never refund you. Plus, all of my wasted time emailing back and forth with pictures and information, all for nothing. Just busy work when the seller has no intention of standing behind their defective product. The fact this product cannot be returned should at least require a prominent disclaimer in their Amazon advertisement so at least you know what you're getting into if you buy it.

My backup system is a few years old now so I was worried the battery wouldn't fit. But it did. Transaction was smooth. Delivery was fast. Product fit exactly like original equipment. Operates flawlessly while holding a great charge for backup.

BEWARE. AJC and APC compatible are confusing. I ordered this battery in error. Compatible does not work for me. I prefer to order the genuine replacement. The AJC battery is non returnable. However, they will accept a return. You just need to pay for the shipping. Estimated return shipping is $23 for a $30 battery. Makes you question the actual value of the battery. I am not using the battery and not bothering to return it.

This replacement battery worked perfectly! Just hooked it up 2 days ago and guess what power went out today on Christmas!

Easy replacement for battery in the ES 550 UPS; slide the back cover open, pull the battery out, disconnecting 2 wires; reverse the procedure with the new battery. About 5 minutes later, it was ready to plug back in.
