Great low-profile oil catch pan
Slim design stands anywhere, and the drain snaps into the side storage.Vent is a nice feature for pouring the used oil without air lock chugging.Handy to slide under tight access areas. Have used one for many years; buying this for oil changes at a second home.

Heavy Duty Oil Drain Pan for great price
I changed my oil for the first time and knew I needed to store the old oil prior to disposal. I did a little research on Amazon and decided to purchase the Wedco Oil Drain Pan because of the decent ratings. The wide opening drain was great when the oil began to drain from my truck and I didn't miss any. The pan is sealed and stored in a storage closet, I have not have had any leaking issues for about three weeks since storage has ensued. Although it is designed to be recycled, I plan to reuse the pan, it is durably made and can withstand several more oil changes.

Great product for lowered cars or differentials.
Great unit. Low profile but has a good amount of capacity around 12 quarts are usable without it being to difficult to transport. I have very low cars (2015 STI and a 2002 S2000) and this fits under them without needing to raise the cars much. The best part about this unit is its low profile and fits underneath differentials without any issues.

works as it should
I should have paid attention to the pictures. I was thinking it was a direct drain to the center of the container. Instead you remove the yellow funnel and screw it onto the side port. This raises the height an inch or 2. It works but I thought it was shorter which would give me room to get to the oil pan bolt. I don't have to jack up my Honda Ridgeline. This recovery pan works but I have to adjust my way of removing that bolt.

bad molding, leaks
The first time I used this it leaked several quarts of oil all over my garage floor. On closer inspection I discovered the reason was a flaw in the molding process, the plastic injection process left a hole on the bottom side where the oil leaked out while I was draining the oil from the car. I was changing the air filter so I didn't notice until it was too late. This is apparently a quality control issue. Too bad, since the design is very nice and without the leak would have worked very nicely.

Doesn't leak, very large funnel
Just in case it's not obvious (it wasn't to me until it arrived), the way this works is that you take the yellow circular thing shown in the pictures off - it's a very large funnel, and screw it onto the yellow cap. What does this mean?1) Very large area for oil to drain into2) It doesn't leak. Those very large holes with a cover never seal properly, especially with warm oil in them, but this little cap seals perfectly! Also I found that the hole in the funnel does a better job than my last drain pan in holding onto the plug when it falls. (The plug comes out, you get hit by very hot oil, yell a profanity, and drop the plug.)I highly recommend.

so easy to keep the container clean and transport the used oil for recycling
other containers that I have tried were OK at catching the oil, but were inadequate for containing the oil for transport. This unit drops the oil from the collector directly into the container by way a screw-on connection; after the catchment has drained well, it can be removed and a good cap placed on the opening - viola! all in the container without any mess. The container can stand up with the collection point at the top and the pouring opening also at the top, so there is virtually no opportunity for accidents. The caps seal well enough, just don't over-torque them and you'll never have a problem. This is my second purchase of this product, first one was at an auto parts store that quit carrying them. I gave that first one to my dad after quite a bit of use and he still uses it. I am happy to have found this second one after some searching. Yay!
