Grind is the first hydroxyapatite toothpaste I've ever tried, and I don't think I'll go back! It leaves my teeth feeling clean and glossy without irritating my gums or mouth at all. Lots of brand-name toothpastes dry out my mouth or cause a mild skin reaction, but this one cleans gently and effectively. No sulfates, parabens, peroxide or other harsh chemicals - it's got lots of nourishing natural ingredients instead. The mint flavor is nice and refreshing but not overly harsh.What sealed the deal for me was reading research on the effects of hydroxyapatite compared to fluoride. Both are equally effective at protecting teeth from cavities and decay, but hydroxyapatite (unlike fluoride) is biomimetic - meaning it is the same compound the body uses to repair enamel naturally. There's a decent amount of research to back up its use in dental health, and I'm really not sure why it's not more popular in American toothpastes! Many natural / fluoride-free toothpastes don't choose ingredients that prevent cavities in the same way, and the handful that do are expensive and hard to find.If you're used to heavy-duty whitening toothpaste, the activated charcoal in this formula won't give you the same "glowing" effect, but I find it very effective over time to remove stains on teeth. It's also a little pricier than most drugstore brands, but I'm happy to pay the premium for a product with an ingredient list I can understand and trust... ESPECIALLY for a product I'm putting in my mouth twice a day. I hope it's back in stock soon, I really don't want to switch back to anything else!

It's a little messy to spit in the sink, as it's a thin consistency and splatters easily, but the taste is by far my favorite out of half a dozen or so toothpastes I've tried! It also got rid of the last of my sensitivity- I wonder if it's because it's the larger particle hydroxyapatite vs. the nanohydroxyapatite of the other toothpastes I've been using?

Between 2 people we went through the entire tube in less than 3 weeks.

This is the best floride-free charcoal toothpaste I've tried. Other brands are runny, or not flouride-free, or don't have the best flavor, or don't leave my teeth feeling clean & smooth. The grind also has xylitol which helps kill bacteria for fresher, cleaner breath & hydroxyapatite to strengthen teeth. My teeth feel clean & smooth after brushing with The Grind.

The smell is perfect taste perfect, But price very high.
