Hillman556 Taper Pin, 2/0 x 1-Inch, 12-Pack,Gray

Description say quantity 12, but there was only 2 in the box. Nearly $10 seems awful pricey for just two little pins. Item NOT as described.

I had to remove an old Marlin Model 80 rifle barrel. The barrel is pressed and pinned in place. The old pin was unusable so I bought a 2/0 reamer and a pack of these pins. It's near impossible to align the old pin holes when the barrel is reinserted. I could get it close but not exact. I open the pin hole a bit wit the reamer and inserted one of these pins. I had to trim the pin because it was longer than I needed however they performed great. I there is a need to remove a Marlin Model 80 rifle these are the pins that you want to use. Note that pin must be drifted out from the left side of the receiver to the right side as you look down at the action from the bolt end of the rifle. Great product for the job.

The extra length is necessary because the holes may have been reamed deeper than normal. Drive them in, mark the excess with a sharpie, remove them, grind off the excess, polish the ends, and drive them back in.

These are exactly what they say they are. If you're pinning a gas block with them, they are too long. I just trimmed some off with a small cut off wheel and cold blued either side after installing. Works great.

I knew they were too long when I ordered them but price was good and they worked good no problem too shorten them

They look good, fit just right. Yes they're a bit too long. But they can easy be cut down to size for your application

Matches up with A2 gas block etc
