Chaker paints a vivid portrait of his life growing up in a refugee camp and the subsequent journey that brings him to the international stage. The second part of the book focuses on his time in Beirut leading up to the large and devasting explosion that killed hundreds and destroyed Beirut's port. Unlike his previous books which tell hyper-realistic stories, this book is simply real, raw and for the first time allows readers to see the sensitive but determined side of Chaker Khazaal. I couldn't put this book down until the end. The twist ending will endear readers, even more, Chaker, and I look forward to a future dramatization on the big screen. If you are looking for a page-turner that spans the middle east, New York, Canada, and Israel, this is the one book you must read straight away.

This epic life story should become a movie with the first half directed by Oliver Stone and the second by M. Night Shyamalan. A highly anticipated publication that exceeded my expectations! The author clearly conveyed a roller coaster of emotions that were a result of a unique set of courageous experiences starting from the refugee camp in Lebanon to literally around the globe. With each challenge and network connection Chaker becomes mentally stronger and I felt a range of emotions ranging from sympathy to hopelessness (ouch!) to perseverance then triumph. Thank you for shining a spotlight on the prevalence and debilitating impact of mental health that can be overcome through identification, support and confrontation. Great work Team Chaker!

Of all the travels of Chaker of The World, OUCH is undoubtedly his most impressive journey. The journey within, the journey of self—inventory, critique, expression, acceptance, and ultimately forgiveness. And exposing all his vulnerabilities in real time during a global pandemic, a tragic bombing, and denial into his homeland speaks volumes of the inner strength of Chaker of The World, and Chaker of the Camp and his desire to heal others while telling a captivating story with a twist.

You hit this one out of the park!!! An amazing memoir full of culture and history! Great play by play of one’s resilience and drive! Such an inspiration to kids around the world.Oh and the TWIST!!! Wow!! I mean OUCH!!!

This book is a must read that describes the tension in the Middle East with the real life tragedy of the Beirut bombing. I felt like I was right there. I can’t wait until this book is turned into a movie!

I burned through this book far faster than I'd anticipated. Chaker's networking skills are astounding, but it also says a lot about the good that's in the world. His network wouldn't exist were it not for the fact that there are people who just want to do good because it's the right thing to do - a refreshing thought in 2020.

Now this may sound super cheesy but bear with me, this is my first ever book review. Admittedly so, this is the case because I'm a book hog; I like to keep the good reads all to myself. This one time I'm willing to share because this book will leave you awestruck and wanting to know more and more about Chaker's inspiring life journey. You won’t be able to put this book down as you just want to know what happens next as you turn each page. When you get to the "twist" in his thrilling memoir, the anticipation to find out what happens will have you on the edge of your seat. You will not be disappointed, if you're still reading this you're wasting valuable OUCH! reading time. Go read it! Now!

As the story unfolded I couldn’t wait to read what would happen next. This young man’s network is amazing. Good things happen when you surround yourself with the right people. The life he was born into and the life he made for himself were so diverse and almost polar opposite. A good read with a little emotional spice at the end. Great job sharing his story.

Once I started reading, I couldn’t put it down. An emotionally honest and inspiring story of confident resilience!
