Rich And Creamy Honey
This honey reminds me a lot of Manuka. It is rich in flavor and creamy in texture. I want to start by saying that I am not reviewing this honey based on its medicinal properties, despite it boasting a 150 APF. It would take a long-term study to know if I would experience any medicinal benefit from using it. I am basing my review on the flavor profile and texture of this honey. The texture of this honey is significantly more creamy than most other honey varieties. It is not completely clear. It is exceptionally dark and it has one of the strongest natural honey flavor I've ever tasted. If you prefer a light honey, such as wildflower or orange blossom, this is not a honey that you will enjoy. If you are like me, and enjoy your honey with the strongest possible flavor, you will feel like you are in heaven when you sample this honey. While I would love to use this honey as my go-to for cooking, baking, teas, etc., I can't justify the price point for those purposes. I will savor this honey straight from the jar in small (approximately 1/4 teaspoon) spoonfuls. I may also occasionally use it in tea, for an extra pop of flavor. If you are looking to treat yourself to a special indulgence, look no further than this honey. You will not be disappointed!

So good I want to keep on spooning!
I use honey as natural sweetener, but this is so good it makes me want to eat it like Nutella

Thick, golden Chilean honey.
The Terra Andes Raw Honey โ APF 150 Unpasteurized Honey โ 17.6 oz arrived and I just opened it and sampled it. This honey has a golden color and is very thick. The taste is sweet, complex, and a bit grainy, very different from the Terra Andes APF 100 honey, which has an amber color and a smooth, sweet taste. Also, the APF 100 is ten dollars cheaper. What is APF readers may ask? On the Internet I found that the APF Active Patagonia Factor is a scientific method that ensures the antibacterial power of native honey of the Chilean Patagonia. The higher the APF factor, the more expensive the honey. Some readers may be familiar with the famous Manuka honey of New Zealand, which also has a complex rating system and is also very expensive. Are these expensive honeys worth the extra money? I donโt think so and hard science does not back up the claims of extraordinary health benefits from adding this honey to our diet. Honey aficionados may want to spend the extra money for this honey, but for me, Iโll stick with my healthy, tasty, and much less expensive acacia honey.

I donโt enjoy the taste
Since Manuka honey has been helping with colitis issues I tried a much less expensive alternative with this Terra Andes honey product. It has an underlying taste that I donโt care for at all, so I donโt look forward to tasting it.

Pure honey
The honey had a pleasant flavor and a deep color. It is a nice addition to my morning tea. I highly recommend this product for its exceptional quality.

Tasty but bit crystallized
Why is this honey crystallized ?

A very natural tasting honey.
I have had honey from all over the world, and even raised wildflower honey, and this is one of the most flavorful I have had. The taste is indeed unique but adds a delightful enhancement to pancakes and French toast. The consistency is not overly runny, and it didn't crystallize until I was down to the last couple spoonful. I like the dark color, the rich taste, the crystallization and sweet liquid honey combination, and it reminds me of a crystallized beer that tastes like molasses because I keep tasting this alcoholic aftertaste. I did not notice any particularly strong flavor at all. I use it by itself or mixed in other things like ginger tea, other drinks, and in sweets.

Awesome honey
omg I could eat this honey with a spoon!! When I first opened the container, I was immediately taken by how creamy this honey is (I was also able to try the APF 200+ honey and it's definitely less creamy than this one). I gave it a good stir and tried it right from the spoon. If you've never had good honey before, you may not be into this at first as it definitely doesn't taste like your typical store-bought honey. It's much more fragrant and actually has (to me) a bit of a wintergreen taste to it. Though I want to eat this entire container with a spoon, I've mostly been enjoying it on my morning yogurt with some fruit. But it's also awesome in a mild tea. Because of its high APF value, this honey supposedly comes with a lot of health benefits, including an immune system boost, increased energy, healing properties, etc. I haven't necessarily noticed any of this, but I also feel like it's not necessarily the kind of thing one notices right away. You can even use the honey topically, rubbing it on aches and wounds. But I'd rather just eat it! I was initially thrown off a bit by the tag on the honey that has Asian characters on it. This is Chilean honey that's been verified in German labs, so I was uncertain what Asia had to do with it. But when I scanned the tag, I was taken to a video describing the honey in (I believe) Chinese. When scanning the other side of the tag, you're taken to a similar video in English. It makes sense they're marketing to a Chinese audience, but considering many people are wary of food products produced in China, it might be worth the brand being more clear. Overall, I definitely highly recommend this honey!
