I dye these gems custom colors for costuming, and from past experience know that heat and the dye chemicals -will- dull and eventually remove the mirror backing on the gem. That aside, they take dye meant for polyester beautifully and without their shape warping. The acrylic gem itself remains shiny and transparent, perfect for my purposes.

Great for cosplay armor!

These look great! I used them for my Steven Universe cosplay at my local Comic Con. One for my Shield and the other for my belly button! LOLThey definitely give the desired affect, the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because the products lack an adhesive, which may be a positive for some people depending on the items intended use.

Worked out great for a Steven Universe cosplay at MomoCon!! We used spirit gum and it stuck on for hours and hours..through the heat, crowds, and even swimming!! LOL!! Nice and big size..better yet you get two!!

Used in costume for Halloween. Design is as to be expected.
