I have the red one. Positive: Great sound, easy to use, light, compact, great in shower (although I turn it so the speaker is not being sprayed), long life battery, and unlike other items this one is easy to find when looking for it.. All in all great, Definitely good value for the money. Negative: No instructions, no manual, not a hint. Although most things should be obvious, the light control was a bit of a pain. Push for like 10 seconds on the light switch to avoid epileptic seizures. Also it looks like a toy. I realize this was needed to provide the water resistance, but when I opened it, it did put me off.\ I would give it 4.5 stars as the negatives are annoying but not deal breaker considering the positives.

It’s a good personal loud speaker. The sound is clear and it gets pretty loud. It’s easy to connect to, charges fast and good to take to the outside but not too disruptive/distracting. It’s also good as a shower speaker as it’s waterproof. The button the turn it off is kind of hard to press and you have to hold it for a while. The charging port is now a type c.

Bought this to replace a JBL Clip that I left behind in a hotel. This is sounds at least as good if not better at a better price point. Very satisfied.

Value for money: Honestly I love the durability and the make of the speaker while the speakers output leaves somethings to be desired but it's an amazing deal for what's you pay for.

I don’t usually fall in love with tech, but this tiny speaker? Listen… the Altec Lansing Baby Boom XL is the definition of do not underestimate me. It’s compact enough to toss in a bag, but the sound that comes out of it is downright disrespectful for its size — deep bass, clear vocals, and zero distortion. I use it everywhere: in the car, outside, in my kitchen… but where it really shines is during my workshops. I’m talking rooms of 30–50 participants, big open spaces, people chatting — and this little boom box fills the entire room like it’s auditioning for America’s Got Talent. It’s that good. It’s also waterproof, snowproof, and it floats, which I did not think I needed until the day I dropped it straight into a cooler. Still played. Still booming. Still living its best life. Battery lasts hours, charges anywhere with USB, and pairs instantly. I’ve actually bought two… because a friend “borrowed” the first one and refused to return it. (Honestly? I get it.) If you want portability, durability, and BIG sound from a speaker that fits in your hand, this is the one. It’s the bomb — literally my workshop MVP.

These are awesome speakers that sound very good for their size. You have to purchase a pair to enjoy the stereo sound. Easy to pair to phone

I love this small but mighty portable speaker-this is my second one! The first one can fill sound for a 22x22 area well. The sound is crisp and clear…only wish just a tinge more bass could come through but still a fantastic buy for such a low price! Who knows? Maybe I might make it three?

Highly recommend Altec Lansing Baby Boom. When paired put out a rich quality sound with crisp highs and punchy bass. Loud indoors the music and stage fills the entire room. Discretely placed in each corner guests are amazed when they see where all that great sound is coming from. Outdoors on the patio or by the pool I get to enjoy the music I like. Whether one or two speakers are in use great sound is sure to follow. Baby boom is definitely on top for its price. I usually have them blasting for three hour intervals… got other things to do other than swim. 5 stars and thank you Altec Lansing and Amozon.. I also have H2o and Hydramini which are also very nice… just not quite as nice… Other speakers i have… Altec Soundrover (x2) five stars, Harmon Kardon Onyx 3’s and 4’s 5 stars and The ultimate surprise, High quality , feature packed W-King H10 Karoke, Wireless mic and guitar input 5 high quality stars… Every speaker mentioned has its own equalizer setting in my iphone to reach its optimum sound quality for my taste. There are no bad sounding speakers in my collection…but are BAD ASS in their own way. Different applications/ uses…On the back of a Ram pickup… Dewalt 20v max also thumps out an amazingly loud sound… just place it in the rear corner of the bed… and crank it up…
