Very heavy cast iron and great heat deflector! **Q: Can you use it for outdoor fire pit?** A: The only problem I see with outdoor use would be rusting. If you cover the firepit after use to protect it from rain and the elements it would probably be okay. **Q: does this item have feet to make it stand up?** A: No. Feet are optional.
