Gateway Safety 28MC15 Conqueror MAG Safety Glasses, 1.5 Diopter Magnification, Clear Lens, Black Frame

I bought these to wear on a plane flight after reading an article about how people are wearing full face shields to protect them from COVID-19 in airports and on planes. They weren't the color I expected, but I tested them in grocery stores before my flight and I could see fine inside. So, I wore them in the airport and on the plane, with a mask, across country and back. I can adjust how they sit on my mask so they don't fog up yet keep the spittle of others out of my eyes. I especially like the way they wrap around, more than my other similar glasses, to keep drops from entering around the edge of my eyes. I have become used to wearing them inside now and can see fine in most situations. I will not go to the grocery or drug store without them now and refuse to take them off inside. I especially wear them in Ubers and at checkout counters. Do I look strange with a full mask and mirrored blue glasses inside of stores? Probably! Do I care? Heck no! These are keeping me safe and I'm not going anywhere without them on until this pandemic is over.

Way too open at the bottom, I can fit my fingers in between my cheek and the lenses when I have them pushed on as close as they will go. I don't feel like I have that abnormal of facial geometry and I haven't had this issue this bad on other safety glasses in the past. Things from below could absolutely fly up and hit you in the eye.I used these for weed whacking on a windy day and in 90 seconds I had more stuff fly up near my eyes than I did in an entire season wearing my last pair of safety glasses. The gap between the bottom of the lenses and the cheek is way too large. These are totally unsuitable for mowing and yardwork and frankly I won't trust them for anything after realizing how big the gap on the underside is. Unless you are planning on wearing these as a fashion statement get a different pair that will actually protect you.

Got these for FTC robotics built shops. They are extremely comfortable and light weight. Plastic glass is clear and not distorting your view. However, these can be easily scratched and not made for heavy duty work environment. Wished they would make the magnifying lens a little bigger for easier reading. These are not meant to wear over your normal glasses regardless how small they are.

I have had a share of safety glasses in my 25 years of wearing these types of glasses but none has been more comfortable/ nicely priced and light weight as these Gateway Wraparound glasses. A lot of my co-workers have asked where I got these glasses as they are nicely designed. Happy with my purchase and will order more just to have a spare set.

Great product. I previously got a thorn in my eye (literally) on my wilderness property when a salmonberry branched popped into my face and went through a day of pure agony while only being able to see with one eye, plus some concern that I might have permanent vision issues from it. Fortunately it healed perfectly but after that experience plus having had other sticks smack my eye before moving through dense brush, vowed I wasn't going out again without eye protection.I purchased these because they had the built-it in cord to avoid dropping/losing, no tinting and b/c of the other solid reviews.They have minimal distortion (of course there is some difference between no glasses and these on, but very minor) and I had no issues with fogging even though I worked up quite a sweat hiking around.Very happy with the product and won't venture into the wilderness without them.

I needed a 3.0 diopter to clearly see my pencil line when using my jigsaw; I had a 2.0 but focus required me to be further away from the faint pencil lines. The focal range of these are perfect and they’re very comfortable.

My husband wanted these for work, so he did not have to wear his regular glasses. (He is a welder and pipe-fitter) When we received these, they just did not fit correctly. He would have to put them 1/2 way down his nose for them to work with the (bi-focal) part. These just did not work for him. Ended up having to go to a local facility for him to get some that worked correctly.

I own a CNC machine shop and my vision had gotten to the point that I could no longer read the etchings on end mills and drill bits. These bifocal safety glasses fixed that. They are sturdy and comfortable. I bought one pair so that I could test them out. I will be purchasing a lot more.I was considering purchasing reading glasses and then getting safety glasses that would fit over them, but thanks to these bifocal safety glasses I won't have to do that. Whew!!!! NOTE: I determined which diopter strength I needed by finding an online "reading glasses test". I really need 1.25 diopter glasses but these don't come in that strength (I purchased both 1.0 and 1.5 to see which worked best for me). You can also go to a store and try on their reading glasses to determine which strength you need.
