3.25 Ounce Cylindrical Tungsten Weights Steel Weights for Pinewood Derby Cars, 4 Different Sizes of Cylinders with Case to Speed Up Your Car

We purchased these to add weight to a pinewood derby car. Where we were choosing to place them, we had to drill holes on the underside of our pinewood derby car then hot-glue them into place. Once they are there, though, you are not going to get them out. For this reason, I would say they are not very easy to use. As far as adding speed, I think that getting your car up to the weight limit is what really helps with the speed, and since these are weights designed to do just that, they do have the potential of adding speed to your car. They are not overly priced and I would purchase them again.

I was trying to balance my astronomical telescope and found a small amount of weight was needed on the front of the telescope, to counterbalance heavy eyepieces on the back. I 3D printed a "holder" and tried a few normal steel and lead things to make the smallest counter weight possible. It took two packages of Tungsten weights, but works perfectly and is as small as could be on the telescope.

Great to add weight to pinewood derby cars. 3/8 inch drill bit was the perfect size. I used some super glue to help the weights in. Definitely use a scale to help you get to 5 ounces!

These weighted exactly what's the were meant to. dense and compact. were easy to put in the underside rear of car with a 3/8 forstner bit and a drop of superglue. 3rd place in his first derby. The boy is happy.

i love that this pack comes with different weights while the diameters are the same. I was able to dril the same size hole on the pinewood block and push these in.
