High quality, right length
Purchased this for improved location of an older AI transmitter that has some connectivity issues if screwed directly to a high pressure port on the first stage. Ended up purchasing newer transmitters, but still intend to use this with secondary tanks.

Perfect for sidemoutn
Used these to coil and attach my SPG to my 1st stage and "un-lollipop" the gauges and make it more streamline on my Mares Horizon setup. They work like a charm and I feel more comfortable with the flexibility of these than the hoses that my unit was shipped with.

Works great with AI units.
I needed this for My Shearwater Teric's AI unit. I just don't like the idea of it the AI sticking directly off the side of the first stage. It could be used by a dive helper as a handle or the AI could just break off if the tank drops over. This hose provides a proper solution.I am aware that putting in an extra hose is always adding in an extra failure point, so if your going to do it put in the best hose you can buy. That is why I chose MiFlex brand, it's painfully expensive but it's the best. Just make sure you pick up a "High Pressure Swivel Spool" adapter. If you don't have that the air will be leaking out around the AI unit. BTW pick up two as it's good to have a spare spool in your O-Ring box.

You May Need Another Part
I am not an expert here, but I bought this to avoid from attaching my transmitter directly to my first stage (I've heard horror stories of people picking up the tank by the transmitter and breaking it).Anyhow, I used it for 3-4 dives and the skipper on my last trip said "you have a leak".Turns out I needed to "spool" which is a small pin that fits into the end of the hose where the transmitter attaches. The dive shop sold me one for $5 and no more leak.

It would be a 5 star Item IF!!!
You have to buy a swivel spool otherwise it leaks like a sieve and useless! It boggles the mind why: A - It doesn't come with one; B - It's not mentioned in the instructions and finally C - After a phone call the people that sell it don't have a clue that it needs one. SERIOUSLY!!!!!!Other than those MINOR details the 6" hose is perfect for a tank pod.

No seal on Female end.
Bought this for transmitter mount because all the cool kids were doing this. Transmitters seem to all have an o-ring seal on the back part of the threads which does absolutely nothing when used with this hose. One fix would be to add a 3/8” o-ring to the female hose connection that contacts the leading edge of the transmitter. Should be included. There’s no seal without this.Apparently, you need to buy an “air spool” to make this work properly.… directions could have indicated, but they didn’t.… I guess I shoulda took the equipment course.

High Quality Hose
Have two setups. First is setup with garmin transmitter for dive watch. Then running a second hose on my pony bottle (slung). Both work and function great. Very flexible

Light and thin
This is a great light and thin hose for your spg. I have another 6” for my wireless air integrated module. Very durable and surprisingly thin.
