Love this guy!
This is my 2nd one of these. The first lasted close to 10 years but finally cracked and was faded. So happy to have found it again on Amazon. Does it deter other birds? I doubt it. I just think it's cute in my yard on a tree.

Big colorful bird
Bird is beautiful I was disappointed because it did not have the coil with it but I bought one . Please make sure you provide the coil because we don't know what pieces come with it.

Keeps pesky birds away!
We have cedar siding and live in a heavily wooded area. We have been plagued for years with little woodpeckers making holes in our siding in one spot. Nothing deterred them until I installed this plastic woodpecker there. It worked like a charm! Very easy to install

Keeps Woodpeckers Away
The woodpecker has not returned to the area this is in. I would suggest a couple if needed around your home.

Not well made
I only had it up for a week before it fell down and now has cracks in the plastic around the screw hole. See my photo. For the price of this I would expect better.The Amazon photos show a spring, but my woodpecker did not come with a spring. Also note, it takes a few days for birds to get out of their habit of landing on your house when they see this woodpecker. But after a few days they didn't come back.

This really works! Or it was a coincidence! ;)
We put this woodpecker on the house and a couple of days later the (annoying but cute) little woodpecker that was hammering away on our gutter every day for 2 weeks was gone! Or it could have been a coincidence. Either way the woodpecker left and hasn't been back since. The woodpecker we bought has been on the house for a year now and looks as good as new!

This actually works!
We have had issues with a woodpecker for the past few years...we work at scaring them away, but it always comes back. First it started with sitting on our gutters and tapping...sounded like a machine gun. Was waking up everyone in the house as it was always at 6am. From there, it found a spot under our soffit where it decided to make home...and was working on the siding. We bought this as a last resort, and attached it to the side of the house. The woodpecker has NEVER been back from the day that we hung this! We will get one for both sides of our home. It really works!
