for artists that are looking for high quality modeling clay at a reasonable price, this is it.

The exact same stuff we used in grade school art class! (1970’s). Takes time to soften, but easy to work with once it gets there without being sticky. Cuts and carves easily and smoothly. Holds detail nicely for molding items, and keeps its shape without slumping. Leaves very little residue on hands that rinses off easily with mild soap and water.

Wow, this is the best block of clay I have ever put these talented sculpting hands on. It almost took form by itself, it was as if the clay and I mentally bonded and became one during the process. Amazing! almost life changing

I ordered this to practice my sculpting on and I am very happy with it. I ordered the white and it holds it's shape and any details you add. It's a firm clay but not so firm that it's hard to sculpt with. You can not bake this and it does not dry out. It will stay moist allowing you to reuse. Myself I am going to keep what I make from it and keep it on a shelf.It will leave traces on your hands after use. I tried removing with soapy water but ended up having to use rubbing alcohol to peel it off, but that is a minor flaw. All in all I am very happy I ordered it.

This plastine was completely dried out and useless. No amount of trying to work with it and make it pliable was effective. Hard as a rock. I ended up tossing it.

I ordered 3 blocks of this as I wanted very soft clay. Only one was soft and the other two were harder so I had to re-order 2 more. I spoke to Jennifer at the company and she was very knowledgeable and kind. Of course, I had to pay for the two new ones and am donating the harder ones. That was the only flaw with this. The product should be of consistent quality. When it is, it's super good and perfect for my use. Thank you.
