Great concept but not great for everyday use. Easy to throw in a backpack and take for a hike. Rod doesn’t lock into place when extended so it will occasionally collapse or the eyes will get out of alignment.

Really wonderful fishing set. The rod is very light, and so it is easy to cast, but really strong. So, don’t worry about once you caught a big fish. The 3000 spin reel is enough for me, and very smoothly. But now, maybe it is not very safe if you went to the popular fishing sites due to the coronavirus. But it is a wonderful choice to take this set package when you plan to have a hiking. Light and easy to carry.

I bought this rod and the top section was flawed causing it to snap during first use. We did not realize the flaw until after the Amazon return window. Not only did amazon work with me but the company is sending a rod replacement for free. Awesome customer service. The rod, by the way, feels like awesome quality. Can't wait for the replacement so we can get back to fishing.

Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to take a picture because ups came to pick it up the next day/today(convenient). At first the item was perfect!! The blue and black reel and rod was amazing! The cast PERFECT!! My husband was able to use it for about 30 mins before the rod snapped. We watched a lot of videos on how to care for and make telescopic rods last and regardless of how careful it just snapped. I really wish this would’ve worked out because it was beautiful and worked well at the beginning. Especially since this was his Father’s Day gift.

A very compact powerfully fishing pole reel combo. The case is a very nice touch to protect your investment. Well made good value for what you pay.

Better late than never, this isn’t an item I purchased for myself , I got this for my husband who loves to fish and go on motorcycle rides. First off, he is an avid fisherman, and this is his go to fishing pole, it is so convenient that he can break it down and store it in the bag it comes with, with all of the lures, hooks he might need and the bag fits perfect inside his saddle bag, not only does he use it for his rides, he uses this pole everytime he fishes. He has mentioned to me that the reel is superior., the pole itself is good for traveling on his bike but Ofcourse he would like it to be bigger , overall, due to this purchase and other fishing accessory purchases, I’m hooked on fishing as well .I highly recommend this item. It’s a perfect Father’s Day gift or birthday gift.

I like the integrity of the rod. Only drawback are the eyes. They seem cheap and plastic. Reel is pretty nice but the braid is in my opinion too small. Should be a 40,50lb braid line. All in all decent set up.
