Good product.
Makes all the difference. Now I can clearly see the weld. A little loose fitting but that's the helmet.

Good Product
These are great if you wear glasses , they make your whole welding vision field great and don't get in the way like glasses do . I like them very much.

Not bad at all. I recommend these to any welder or any skill level as well as vision-health.
I don't wear glasses, but with aging eyes, maybe it's just denial but for the last year, I've relied on experience instead of vision for welding. I came across these lenses and bought the 2x version to "get in closer".Ok, I was excited to get these to see if this would make any difference in my welding experience. I have to say, having these lenses is like night and day! I've always had great vision, except as of late but here is my experience.I use a Optrel E-series helmet and TIG has been a dream. Stick welding has been a little bit of a challenge. I recently got a MIG and I haven't been able to see the puddle at all. Now that I have this lens, I'm able to see the puddle and everything seems to happen in slow-motion.However, this lens is not perfect. These lenses are about 1/8" thick. The stock shield protector on the Optrel is about 0.04" thick, so it won't slide in there without modifications. I started filing the edges down with a file and about 30 seconds later, I realized I hadn't gotten very far so I chucked it up in the mill and shaved it down to about 0.045". Any thinner and it'll start cracking (don't ask how I know this). Once both sides were thinned, it still wouldn't fit, since the width of the magnifying lens is a little over-sized, but just kissing with a file was enough to get this lens into the Optrel helmet. The other issue with this lens is the split-lens. I didn't think it was going to be a huge issue until you start looking around. You have to look forward with this lens, otherwise the slight angles of the split-lens will block-out half your vision until you look forward again.Otherwise, I rather like this lens and recommend these for anyone, even if you don't need glasses. Keep in mind, these are not corrective lenses. They are magnifying lenses. The 2x lens really gets you in close to more precision.

Great tool to get in close for a good look while laying a weld bead. Night and day. If you haven't tried one, you are missing out.
