I love it. However it did arrive slightly chipped on the inside of the lid. That means it wasn't chipped during shipping but likely in house and was sent this way. I still like it so I kept it. The pictures show the cup next to a typical sized mug for comparison. You can see the lid too.

This is a lovely item. Quite elegant and beautiful. I like that it is larger than most at 16 oz. But I find it awkward top steep and drink from, and pouring the freshly steeped tea into a more practical cup to drink from almost always results in spillage. Still, I do not regret this purchase in the least.

It is porcelain so you must know that porcelain likes to be hand cleaned and wiped. Use regular detergent will not be enough. You have to polish it with something like a magic eraser. Do not use brill for steel wool. You can also use bleach.It will need regular cleaning.

Either lid or bowl were not perfectly round. Didn't fit well. Refund issued

It's larger in person than I originally thought. That's a deficit in my judgement of sizes. It's very nice & I know I'll enjoy sharing teatime with my friend~!

I use it as a tea bowl. It's nice and easy to clean. Can't go wrong for the lettuce I spent.

The gaiwan is pale cream and the print is also pale, the bowl is misshaped so the lid doesn't fit. Inside there are two long cracks in the glaze. Very dissapointed.

16oz. (500ml) can be held in the bowl, at the maximum capacity without overflowing; however, only about 12oz. will fit in the bowl *under the lid*, which is not perfectly circular, and does not marry exactly to the bowl. The unit I received had several rough blemishes under the glaze: {inside the lid handle; two on the outer wall of the bowl; a gold brush-stroke on the saucer; and, another rough spot on the underside of the saucer (this last location would likely escape casual notice in use)}. Overall, I am content with this product for the purpose I intended for it: casual personal enjoyment of puer tea, alone; but, it will not pour without considerable dribbles, with or without the lid in place to hold back tea-leaves, so, I would not recommend using this set for sharing tea with a friend. The decoration is as beautiful as expected; and, you may be relieved to learn that the body of these vessels are, in fact, *White* porcelain, and not as grey as they appear in the listing.

It’s a pretty cup but it’s not 16 oz. 12 oz would be pushing it and 10 oz. is probably the most you’ll be able to put into it for it to be of use. It’s a pretty cup but disappointing since it’s a lot smaller than advertised. I’m keeping it because it’s pretty and it’s not worth the hassle to return it but if you’re looking for the size (which I was) then keep looking because this doesn’t hold 16 oz. of fluid.
